The culture can be fixed in the same way the military can take anybody (loser, drug addict, lost, lonely, young, naive, arrogant, whoever) and turn them into obedient, purposeful warriors. It can be done with the right leadership. Is Manny the right leader? We'll see.

Why would they fire someone to turnaround and rehire him as a DC? This is literally the dumbest thing I've heard all day.

Which was wanted, and needed. But remember, that was Coker's last move too before that ship sank completely. The difference is Manny has more talent to work with than that 2006 team , which besides Calais and a few others was as bereft as any non probation Canes team I remember. Coker whiffed completely on the OC hire, and to make matters worse brought in Todd Berry to run Army's read option offense with Kyle and Kirby. Ugh... So I'm happy we're addressing the assistants but I'm not expecting miracles. The culture is broken. I don't know how or if it gets fixed. I don't think Manny knows either. But he has to try.
