Looks Like Anthony McFarland will be Redshirted

After all the BS with this kid and his recruitment and it looks likes he’s going to be redshirted, trolled us and we ended up with the better back in Lingard.

Anthony McFarland will take a long-term recovery plan to his broken fibula - The Diamondback

He would have been useless to us. We needed some RB depth this year, and he might have helped--if healthy. As it is, if Walton and Homer stay healthy, we don't have to rely on Gray and Burns too much. We don't know how good these last two guys might turn out if they have to play. They might turn out pretty good. I remember how people talked about Gray when he was a senior in HS and the highlights I've seen of Burns from HS demonstrate real talent. I'm not sure this guy McFarland is missed at all.

Next year, with Lingard and Davis coming in, McFarland even if he got healthy, might not get playing time. So, I'm not sure he's much of a loss.

But y’all said....”we missed McFarland, the season is doomed due to rb depth”. He won’t even play this season because of injury...

I'm going to say this slowly.

You are a gotdamm...motherfvck!ing...idiot...

Depth problems are depth problems. ONE pure freshman has never fixed a depth problem on his own.

People were upset for a number of reasons. The only remaining signee was the perpetually injured Robert Burns. Two upperclassmen left the program early. McFarland was, literally, a last-second defection, leaving us no chance to replace him. Walton could get hurt, and Homer was unproven. And, of course, we signed no grad transfers.

But, sure, you just attack UM posters who were LEGITIMATELY concerned with depth as if we cried about ONE KID.

FOH, brah.

And we're a Mark Walton injury away from being screwed with RB depth. The few snaps that Gray has received shows he's nowhere near Homer and Walton. The drop off of production from RB no. 2 to no. 3 is a significant concern. Burns also hasn't even come close to sniffing the field and we've hear no reports of reps he's received in practice. Everyone mentions moving Deejay to RB; when has he received reps there? See where we're going with this?

And we're a Richards away from depth issues at WR, and we're a Quarterman injury away from depth issues at LB. We're a Donaldson injury away from OL depth issues.

Unless we get news that he's now serving up milkshakes at the local DQ, I don't want to hear sh*t from whoopi
