Looks like a "Fire Al Golden" banner is in the works

All this "publicity" and you clowns have still barely raised $500? And you claim Alfred is ineffective?

the funny part is.. all those that are up in arms and cheering on for the banner most likely don't even go to the games but all they do is talk..

think about it.. they are so emotional and dramatic about this Golden banner but yet between all of them can't even raise $1,000 and only 25 people in 7 days donated.

let fat manny do a story on that.. "disgruntled lazy fans can't even commit to raising money for a banner and don't even show up to games"

Exactly. It's funny how because they are so vocal and pretend to know it all here on this site, they think the represent the majority of U fans. They're having trouble scraping up enough money for their stupid banner...very impressive "movement." The majority of U fans think the "fire Golden" movement is ridiculous and WAY too early into his tenure given the circumstances, and various sports writers have made similar comments.

You guys can argue all you want, but our voices are being heard. Talked about on multiple sports radio shows here in Miami...talked about by old UM players....talked about by all of you Golden slurpers. We have raised $550 in 1 week. If Nebraska shuts us out then you will see an influx of money. The monetary goal will be reached and a banner will fly....tough to swallow, huh? Our goal of being heard is already a success....being seen is next.

I can't wait to revisit this thread after we get PUMMELED by Nebraska in two weeks.

Heard, seen....and then moving out of your momma's house? You may have the sequential importance of your goals not properly prioritized. Best of luck with your endeavor, nonetheless. At this rate you guys should soon have enough capital to fly a bedsheet behind your car.

Oh, no one denies that you are being heard. Most are shaking their heads in amazement and disgust at you, but hey, at least they are hearing you.

Amazement and disgust over fans being upset over the current state of the program. We're just trying to be proactive about it.

Sure if "proactive" means delusional and ridiculous.

Anyone still supporting Godlen is delusional and ridiculous

I'm not supporting Golden, I'm reserving final judgment. I'm disappointed that we aren't "back" yet, but I'm also reasonable enough to know that he inherited a huge bucket of crap, as in a program that very well could have been permanently destroyed, and it takes a while to fix it. This is the FIRST year without the NCAA hanging over our heads, and with anything even remotely resembling depth on the team (even then depth is still an issue). People forget that as recently as 2012 pretty much all of the major college football publications and pundits predicted a 4 win season at best because of the condition of the team that Golden inherited and the NCAA mess, and we won 7. This season is now currently underway, we'll see how it plays out. The off season is the time for firing and hiring...anything else is just an additional distraction.

Nobody can deny that Golden is a jolly, good fellow who inherited a pile of **** when he took over.

None of that has anything to do with six men in the box on 3rd and 1.

There will never, ever be another thread created that someone does not mention "the cloud" excuse. I wonder what year we will stop using it as an excuse.

How can anyone still support this or think it's going to get any better?

The incompetence is there for all to see.

We have posted all the numbers/stats/facts/screenshots for everybody to see. Some people choose to ignore it, nothing you can do about it. Anybody who defends a 3 safety deep formation on 3rd and 2 should stop arguing football.

When referring to the period of time in which it occurred, it's not an "excuse" it's an explanation of the circumstances. "The Cloud" set us back by a few years. Denying that is denying reality. But many want to pretend that Golden should have been able to begin the turnaround of the team as soon as he got here, as opposed to just doing the best he could to keep things from dying completely.
