It's the banner that will hurt recruiting, not inevitably getting tuned up by yet another good team.
I'm on board with 99% of your posts, but could it possibly be both?

Most fans in the stadium and most eyes on TV. It's actually good marketing if you take the emotion out of it.
Yes, good "marketing" if your business model is to undermine recruiting, embarrass the team, and make UM fans seem like more of a joke than they already are considered nationwide.
Your point is valid. It's the banner that will hurt recruiting, not inevitably getting tuned up by yet another good team.

1. we are not improving our image as fans anytime soon and never will
2. recruits will bail anyway with more mediocrity
3. team will not take offense as they know why their results have been mediocre
We can do everything we can to rip the bandaid off now or do you prefer to slowly pull it off with Al doing the same for another 2-3 years?
Im starting a GoFund me....10k For a hit man to take out Danny Vasquez.

Would be really funny if we somehow won all of our games from now until FSU and the banner is flying over a top 25 inner conference rivalry match up in primetime. Well not funny, pathetic.

Recruits will bail that much quicker knowing what little fan base there is is so childish and unsupportive of the team. Trayvon Mullen's tweets are a perfect example of how many recruits and players view the antics of the ridiculous U "fans." The team most certainly will take offense as despite the BS about how the coaches have "lost" the team, every quote, including unsolicited quotes, from players have been not just neutral or positive, but extremely supportive and positive about Golden.
