Looking ahead to Ohio state

For all the *****ing about Becks mobility, he has positive yards rushing for the year, while Sayin is -2 yards.
Mobile QB’s have caused us trouble at times.
Is Sayin as much of a statue as his stats indicate or does he have good mobility within the pocket?

We have 5 wins over ranked teams.
6 ND
18 USF
18 FSU
22 Pitt
6 TAMU

They have ranked wins over
1 Texas
17 Illinois
15 Michigan

You can talk them up all you want, but let's not pretend it's because you're a Miami fan keeping it real.

How are you going to talk about keeping it real then list these teams. Gtfoh

Think we also need to realize that we are one of the better teams in the red zone in terms of converting fgs to tds. Wasn’t the case vs A&M, but that will be big to just look better in the red zone vs OSU once we get there. We stalled drives with missed fgs and stalling in plus territory, but A&M stalled by just not doing anything on offense

I think we have to acknowledge that the wind at today’s game was next level man. You cannot pass with any degree of consistency in wind like that. Next game will be indoors and I expect a big game for Beck.
ACC panel was talking about that after game. Jimbo F said coaches don’t care about a little rain but wind is the worst and throws everything off kilter (as we saw with some of Beck’s passes and the lost field goals). Next week will be entirely different.

I feel this game reminds us a lot of 2003 but in reverse

Ohio St won ugly games leading up to us then while Miami was flashy with all the skill players and NFL talent on the defense

We were all worried then how our OL who showed leakage would be against a then good Ohio front and it was that night

We will need to cause turnovers and must be able to match them physically and just hope our offense can muster enough

They have the horses with Smith Tate Reese Downs but their QB is fragile and Ohio State is a very much front running and play with arrogance. Once they get hit they can fold

We've beaten two powerhouse teams

OSU has beaten zero. Barely beat an extremely overrated Texas team week 1.

They haven't been tested like we have

I really hope the team feels the positive support of everyone in Hurricane nation who was devastated and disgusted by the Fiesta Bowl. It’s time to avenge that.

This game is all about which O has the better game plan and executes better.

The defenses are both elite.

The offenses are both susceptible to the day. Dawson needs to call a game that keeps them off balance but avoids the negative plays we had against A&M..he got too cute with A&M but it may work with OSU.

But I hope we test them in the middle/ground game first to see if we can establish that early and make them commit to stopping the run so they don't get gashed. That'll open up the rest of the game.

The defense can tee off on Sayin knowing he can't really run at all so he's going to take some big hits..hopefully we rattle him early and his mind gets racing. He's young and inexperienced and hasn't faced much adversity yet.
They've played one team that believed that they could impose their will on OSU.

That team went out and did it with a talent composite gap of about 70 spots.

Now they get to play a team that believes in itself with little to no talent gap.

Swiggity swooty, we coming for that Buckeye booty

Your problem is with the rankings then.

We held a team that averaged 36 points in the SEC to just 3 and you want to claim we're not good?
7 sacks against the best OL in the SEC gets a buckeyes team whose main concerns are on the OL.
