Bowl games last through January and early singing day. Some schools enrollment period is over with when the last bowl game is played.

FCS season is over. FBS ends this week. This is the time for guys to jump in the portal and try to find a place to play next year.

There's very rarely impact P5 players in the transfer portal. The portal is full of two types of players. Guys who couldn't get playing time at their P5 program and are looking to step down in competition or guys who were dominating at lower levels and are looking to step up.
