Crazy their basketball team been like UM football for last 2 decades
They just can't get it right
"We only care about basketball" to excuse your football failures is a thing that can't fly in 2026 and I love basketball but the reality is that if you want to be relevant as an athletic department (and the money that comes with it) you HAVE TO be great at football.

Even Duke, relatively speaking, understood that.

A ton is an understatement imho, basically all Indiana leaders are former JMU players.
It was 13 in total IIRC. But look at their roster — he’s recruited well and done really well in the transfer portal. His top corner, second best running back and second best receiver are JMU guys but most others are homegrown or brought in from elsewhere.

Something that I don’t think gets brought up is that Cig was the receivers coach AND recruiting coordinator for Saban at Bama. Dude must be good at closing. Maybe even evaluating.

They are going to be a major player from now on, I bet they won't be a fluke as long as Cig is there. They always had big money/donors, they simply chose not to spend it on football until now.

Appetite comes with eating.
I definitely have my eye on them this off season as they are losing 18 starters, 18. I want to see this. His hires and evals have been extremely impressive. I have to see him build a whole new team in the portal again this off season. The odds are going to be high against him. The competition for the same players with one portal have completely changed this portal season. I would bet against him. We shall see.

My question is what do Jacobs run the 40 in..? we need some 4.3 or 4.4 speed injected into the WR position. Guys who can take a slant and run 70 yards
Says 4.44 and his highlights show a kid that can definitely stretch the field. That all said while efficient his stats are just okay but then again Sellers isnt exactly a great thrower. Seems like an upgrade over Marion and would accomplish filling a need we have at WR but not amazing.
