Look to the Transfer Portal: Discussion thread

I think a great QB changes everything. Couple that with so much talent being available in the portal and Kiffin at this point being a pro navigating it as he did at Ole Miss plus the fact that LSU while a mess still has talent and has recruited well leads to them being competitive year 1.

Portal is the great equalizer. But I'd be shocked if Kiffin is able to pull an Cignetti. That requires culture as much as genius and talent acquisition. Plus all teams are much more active in the portal now.

Why are you clowns thinking LSU is in rebuild mode. We turned around our Defense thanks to the portal, Texas Tech did the same, cam Ward turned around our offense in one season, I could name more but you get the point, LSu defense is good. Lane is in offense guy, I mean be real

Interesting approach. To call other posters clowns while asking their opinion.

Probably not but my main point was that it probably isn’t a multi year rebuild. He will have them competing year 1.

Cannot argue with you there, I believe you're right. He's so much better a fit than Kelly for LSU, too. As long as he isn't distracted by the ***, drugs and rock & roll too much, he should do well there.

We mostly haven't been in 1:1 recruiting battles with him while he was at Ole Miss. Hopefully he harms his SEC rivals more than Miami.

cignetti also brought in a ton of JMU guys when he first landed at IU, so the culture he brought in could translate from his JMU guys to IU.
This. I’m VERY curious how IU looks moving forward. He’s obviously a tremendous coach but people don’t realize he brought a whole team with him who ALL bought in
