Report from the local newspaper in Reading says he's having surgery on Friday and will be out 2-4 months: Lonnie Walker likely will be sidelined 2-4 months | Reading Eagle - SPORTS (story is behind a paywall)
That puts the worst case scenario at a return in mid-November. We open on Nov 10 with 3 games in the next 6 days against Gardner Webb, Navy, and FAMU. If we can't beat those three teams without him, this team has problems his return alone won't solve.

No reason we should lose any OOC games with or without IV.

USC (if we play them in that tournament) will be really good and Minnesota, especially at their place, will also be tough.

Otherwise, I agree nothing really to worry about in OOC.

Let Lonnie take his time with the recovery, we need him to be 100% starting in January

Agreed. Although I don't know how long it will take to rehab, we all know the following:

Minnesota is on 11/29 or 20 weeks from today.

The Diamond Head Classic begins on 12/22 or 23 weeks from today.

Norlander, the guy who picked us 1 in the ACC said someone told CBS he'd be back by December. That seems very long. Regardless, we play LaSalle in his hometown on Nov. 22. Now, he shouldn't rush anything, but he has to have that game circled.

L has told ESPN and the PBP he should be back for the start of the season. Let's not forget Reed had the same surgery his soph. year and was on the court exactly 3 months later.
