The SEC is the worst; they overrank teams, creating this narrative that it's the best conference. They then beat up on each other, and since they are all over ranked, the committee look at these wins as quality wins, boosting their SOS ratings. Can't wait to put them all back in their place.
It's still the best conference year in and year out, despite the media bias etc.
Look at national titles in last decade, or NFL draft picks, etc.
It's common knowledge that savages exist in the southeast part of this country. Why wouldn't the conference with all the money, booster support, and best/highest paid coaches be the best conference?
You could argue they are overrated every year, but that doesn't mean they aren't the best conference.
Bama, Auburn, UF, and LSU have all won titles in the last 12 years. And I believe only 2 seasons of those 12 did a non-SEC school win the title. (FSU and USCw)
