Lol Gary

Even a broken clock displays the correct time twice a day, so maybe this will be one of those times for Gary.

Lot of lions, dogs and injuns coming to Greentree. Well at least Mark hasn't hired any gators. I guess coaches hire who they know.

Not sayin' he/'s not a good coach...but...'meh'...comes to mind.

Is he that much of an upgrade over KB?

Why? Because you've never heard of him?

I've heard of him (I'm an old fart that can recall his playing days. Just not sure he is an obvious upgrade over KB. Is he? Slam dunk better? If so, awesome. If not, why?

What exactly did you see in the WRs this year that makes you think Beard is a good coach?

What is your definition of "coach?"

On the field - I saw Coley return to form and show tremendous improvement from the prior year. Rashawn Scott had a very solid year and became Kaya's favorite target early on. I thought Tyre Brady improved from his frosh year. Can't say I saw any improvement from Herb or Malcolm. I thought Lawrence Cager developed nicely for a true frosh. From my perspective, the WR group as a whole improved from the prior year.

Off the field - KB can recruit (Bruce, Mullins, etc.) and relates very well to the players. He is a role model and mentor to many kids.

Is Dugans absolutely an upgrade as a coach? Recruiter? Mentor? If so, then "bravo" we have improved. Just looking for confirmation. Bashing KB is unwarranted.

Scott was still basically the same player as he was in '12.
Coley still didn't produce anything on par with his freshman season.
Waters was much better during the '13 season.
Lewis/Berrios/Brady/Cager were negligible at best.

I don't see the sort of improvement that makes Kevin Beard an indispensable staff member.

Does he not get credit for Stacey Coley bouncing back after an awful sooh yr? Does he not get credit for Rashawn Scott having a solid year after missing so much time on the field? Who underperformed as a wr this yr, maybe Berrios? But he also got hurt in the beginning of the yr and he hasn't proven much anyways.

I am not a KB slurper by any means and I am sure Richt can do better, but to not give him credit is wrong imo.

No results dont matter when your only looking at the negatives.

Just look at Ice... Yearby and avg back with no speed and running behind the worst offensive line in Miami history does something that only 8 UM backs have done before and Ice sucks for sure.

The bottom line is you cant have you cake and eat it too. Either these coaches dont matter that much or they do. Our WR did just as well this past season as they have the season before. Coley did very well thats for sure.

To the extent Twitter is telling...a few of the current commits and players started following Dugans...

Yearby is far from an average back and yes he has no running speed because he put on so much weight under ICE. And if ICE is so good why he couldn't get anything out of Trayone Gray?? As for KB he was decent but UM can do better. And if you want to give him credit for Scott and Coley I'm fine with that but you also have to consider the amount of penalties the WR's got this year which is a direct reflection of coaching. I mean do you know how many unsportsmanlike conduct penalties Scott and Coley got last year.

Improvement over 2013 from the WRs. Other than that, nothing. Wait, did I just say improvement? Does a bad coach improve a unit?

Anybody remember how Louisville's receivers owned Artie and Tracy during the bowl game in 2013? Literally manhandled them, particularly on screens and running plays. God I hope it's him.

Was that Lamar or Paul Williams doing? I'm going with the ****** latter.

I was thinking their WRs looked pretty good in that time frame. He's a solid hire, if he's the guy. I just don't see why people need to bash Beard during all of this.

These dudes mistake correlation with causation. Coley put up better stats this year than last, so that means Beard is a good coach. They leave out that Coley put up great numbers as a freshmans when Beard was in the secretarial pool.

Then, they bring up Scott, who had a great year a couple years ago too, which they leave out. They compare his season this year to last year when he was out all year injured. Of course, he put up better numbers than when he was out injured. Does that make Beard a good WR coach?

Waters, who was not injured last year, didn't look anywhere near as good in 2015 as he did in 2014. Berrios looked worse an additional year removed from knee surgery.

What did Beard do in recruiting that made him so great? I remember everyone claiming we were a shoo-in with Scarlett because he was Beard's boy. How'd that go?

This dude did nothing that stood out, and his resume' as a coach was an absolute joke. On top of all that, he was infected with the Folden AIDS. I wish him well, but I'm glad he's gone.

I have to say I think Lousiville's receivers were legit when he was coaching them.

Obviously Devante Parker is an absolute stud and bests any receiver we have had in years.

He got several other dudes to the pros where they are still on rosters but have really disappeared there. That tells me he got the most out of them.

Damian Copeland
Eli Rogers
Andrell Smith

Had a few SFL kids on his roster there as well.

Has really turned Rodney Adams into a solid receiver for the bulls.

Has got Darnell Salomon (from Central) commited to him right now. I would take him for sure.

I bet this guy has already been recruiting Bruce and Mullins so maybe that can help us out there.

It's not just about stats. Our WRs were doing a lot of things right this year. Their routes looked sharper. They made a better effort to get to the ball. Other than the bowl game they had fewer drops. I saw no area where the WRs looked worse than 2013.

You watched the all 22 film to figure all that out? Or are you just going off memory and parroting the "our WRs looked better" nonsense that has been spewed in Beard's favor?

Ron dugans would be a great hire anybody that was anywhere near someone like Bobby Bowden or good enough to be an assistant on Marvin Lewis's staff is ok with me
