They wish it were a joke.... Fact.

Little fact sportcasters won't tell you because its not popular, top northern teams generally cannot compete with top southern teams when motivation/venue/skill are evened out (what happens generally in playoff games). It happens once and a awhile, but generally they get their butt handed to them versus southern teams.
