Logic and ACC teams?

It seems too many are happy about the losses ACC teams have done this season. Logically though shouldn't we root for ACC teams when playing an out of conference game? Remember that both fsu losses were IN conference so be as happy as duck in water. Saturday fsu plays out of conference Memphis, so shouldn't we hope they win?
I now, I find it difficult to pull for any fsu conflict in any sport due to recruiting BUT seeing ACC team beat an OOC team boosts the ACC. I can't root for fsu but seeing them beat Memphis is better for us and the ACC then them losing so let them win games until they face us as that makes our record better when we beat them. Some here desise Manny but his win at Northwestern is a plus. Also it was an interesting match with Duke making an end of game FG. Pitt/WVU, BC/Missouri and Cal/San Diego ST are three games that help the ACC when they win.
It seems the ACC will survive so lets see all the ACC team win OOC games and become more valued as a conference. I might even pull for TVD Saturday, wouldn't that be fun if Wisconsin were to beat Bama. That would add to the losses the SEC already has.

Yep… Clem won a natty or two with the conference being weak AF overall. If we win it doesn’t matter what everyone else got going on.
 
Who gives af win. Hopefully the refs realize that Miami and Clemson are they’re only chance for acc relevance and don’t hose us during the games.
 
If we win out, or win out and lose the championship game, we make the playoff - no matter what the strength of the ACC
 
In a 12 team playoff where the conference champs get a first round bye nothing matters as long as you win your conference. So **** FSU- I hope they lose every game. **** UNC, sorry @JBCanes-NC , I hope they get shut out every week. **** Louisville, **** Virginia, **** Duke, **** Virginia Tech, **** Georgia Tech, **** Wake Forrest, **** NC State, **** Syracuse, **** Boston College, In fact **** every program in the country that isnt the University of Miami.
 
You think FSU beating Memphis is going to make it a quality win for us? Has no effect, FSU already screwed it up I hope they lose every game they play always regardless.

The ACC sucks and that is ok, just win the conference and we are automatically in regardless how bad the conference is.

Cheering for ACC teams to win to make our conference look stronger is semi valid as it can help us. EXCEPT cheering for FSU is never valid under any circumstances other than when they play the Gators.

I see the logic behind this thinking and I also pull for the ACC in OOC games sans FSU which I just cannot root for.

A strong ACC can be good for Miami when it comes to strength of schedule and having to position for a playoff spot when you did not win the conference.

This was really more of a thing back in the day when you needed to be ranked one or two to get into the championship game but today with 12 spots it matters much less.

Now,if we are sitting at 10-2 and ranked 14th and out of the playoff because we played a ****-poor ACC schedule--then yes, perhaps beating a ranked FSU team would have made enough difference to get us in.
 
If you are really paying attention, the ACC has won plenty of games against the P4. look at the records just this year. it doesnt matter, ACC lost to Georgia and NC ST got hammered in prime time. So thats the narrative. the power TV brokers have the least money invested in the ACC. Im not saying the ACC is the best conference, just follow the money
