Local LB prospect Thompson wants to hear from Miami

200 lbs is a bit light. By the time Swasey puts the needed weight on him, he'll be another stiff player on the roster. We need kids of in 215-230 range

Grace: 6'1 195 lbs-2013
Kirby: 6'2 215 lbs-2012
Blue 6'1 195 lbs-2012
Terry 6'2 200 lbs-2012

Skai Moore (38 tackles, 2.5 TFL, 0.5 sack, 1 INT) is producing at 205. Telvin Smith(56 tackles, 6.5 TFL, 1 sack, 1 INT) is producing at 218. Its not about size, its about talent. This is the type of kid we need to get regardless before they end up elsewhere and/or in the 1st-2nd round of the draft in 3-4 years.

LaVonte David II

Type of kid that ends up at Rutgers or USF and blows up

Let's not compare him to David.

No one talked about David 4+ years ago when he was headed to juco. Only when he blew up at juco, balled out at Nebraska, did people start the irrational hindsight talk about David.

Watched the film out there on him....IMO doesn't look like he has elite athleticism, or speed. Just looks like he's not that quick twitch type. Not sure about instincts, that was difficult to read from the film. I'll take the word of Pete and D$ that the kid is a player, but I can see why the offers aren't rolling in.

If there is a better linebacker down here, I haven't seen him.

Ideally he'd be a little twitchier, but he's a smooth athlete who can blitz and cover.

Yeah, blow them up to 250 or so, they can watch the crossing route run right past them.
