Lo vs Steed, who won???

I don't know the outcome of this play but it was a great photo of some young on the rise canes. I got my money on Steed if Lo tried to take it up field!!!
I don't know who won, but #90 Tyreic Martin got shoved two holes over by whoever that Olineman was.

For the record, a little off topic: Al Golden was unsure/hesistant on offering Denzel Perryman out of Gables. Michael Barrow was all in and got him to the U. This is from DP's mouth. FWIW, he ended up liking Golden during his time here.
DP was a high 3 star had offers from most major programs.

Steed winning that look at those feet planted hes also squared up or positioning himself to be and thats a fresh running at him, if Lo wins that hes a beast unless Lo break Steed mechanics and runs around him lol then u cant stop speed.

lol something similar to this -

DP tattooed Gus on more than one occasion and it usually ended up looking just like that. Gus probably hated running into him.

Goes to show you thats an NFL starting LB then vs a JAG..........U can see it then and the same **** will happen now.

Garvin was by far my favorite recruit last year way before anyone here talked about him due to his college film. My second favorite was Steed. He just looked like a guy who naturally knew how to hit and instinctively knew where to go on most of his film.
I hope he stays healthy and shows what he can do.

Steed and Gargin were 1a and 1b for me. They just looked like the guys Miami used to recruit when we were great. Just crazy instincts and know where to be you can only teach so much. Some kids just have it and it always seemed like these 2 did. Can't wait to see steed healthy!

I know its different from the Lo vs Steed scenario because this is in the open field, but it looks like Deejay is about to make a house call, especially judging by Coach Brown's reaction in the background. Man, I can't wait to see how good Deejay is going to look this fall after having an actual off-season to train as an RB. He did what he did last year at RB off of pure skill. Dude is going to be scary this year.

Deejay is a “make ya miss” guy. He’s not as fast as Homer or Lingard, but he’s got those sweet feet that we haven’t seen around here in awhile. Yearby was similar, but his speed wasn’t serviceable.

My guess is DJ cuts back to his left and a good chance to the house. I don’t care who’s back there, that’s just an impossible no-win situation for the safety with as far back as he is, unless he gets really lucky and guesses the cut move and makes his move decisively at exactly the same moment.

A super confident 4.3 guy might just keep going down the sideline to his right.

Agreed. There were several plays last year where he turned a 1 yard gain or even a 1 yard loss, into 5 yard gains because of his ability to make the first guy miss. He also has great vision, which makes his elusiveness even more effective.

Agreed. That’s why I’m “Somewhat” concerned about the weight gain.

He’s not the fastest.....but he’s super elusive. Can’t afford for him to lose speed and/or quickness.

LSU had a WR like him in the mid 2000s; Skyler Green. Dude was a straight up playmaker....but he gained too much weight by the time he was a senior. He was still special with the rock in his hands.....but he never reached his full potential.

Dallas is naturally elusive. Just a great athlete with a knack for shedding folks.
