Lo Lingard IG Live

Shoulda given him some burn yesterday during garbage time...

....he immediately blows out both knees....

....all of a sudden family members reemerge screamin' that they agreed upon a redshirt....

.....instant debates emerge about coaches not caring about players health or potential future earnings.....blah blah blah.

Take the shirt and freakin' relax. Come back absolutely 100% next year and THEN complain or transfer if you're not happy. As was mentioned, be happy that you're actually not accumulating any addl real wear and tear on your body while you're playing for free.

This. At this point, why risk another severe injury? The whole Lingard situation is a bizarre one. If he really went on IG and did this then I don’t even know what to say.

ill wait till he actually announces hes leaving before i jump on this. team is rolling right now and we have two healthy and good backs playing well. better he gets right for next year when DJ leaves than risk further injury

Not a single person that’s posted here knows what the fūck they’re talking about.

Nobody actually knows how this kid actually feels except himself and those he’s confided in.

All these assumptions yet nobody knows a fūcking thing.

In fact, nobody knows what exactly he actually said on IG, how are you idiots making assumptions based on quotes you haven’t even seen?

You haven’t even seen the quotes yet you are diving deep into his mental state.

What a bunch of delusional gossipy little girls.

Maybe he’s frustrated, maybe he isn't, maybe there are issues behind the scenes, maybe there are not. Or maybe his frustration is based on something like he can’t play because he’s not fully 100%. I’m not going to guess.

But I guarantee you one thing. No one here actually knows.

And you have no further information upon which to base an intelligent opinion now than you did an hour ago before you read this thread.
Truth.

UM has struggled managing super blue-chip recruits for a long time going back to DJ Williams and his constant crying about wanting to transfer.

Lingard is a warrior, but he needs some smart adults to step in and advise him to stay away from moping when the team is doing well and rallying. Take a cue from Perry about how to handle business and from Jarren about why running off if you don’t play right away might not be a great idea. RBs need one great year to go to the NFL. He’s going to have at least 3 years to shine.

This would be my plan: He’s played in 1 game. We have 3 left. Let him play the last 3, and you can still have the stupid useless redshirt that won’t matter anyway.

I saw the live and heard him talking

if he reinjures his knee in one of those three when there are two other backs ahead of him, this entire board will fry the coaches. id rather just sit him and let him come back fully healthy and brace free

you can never really keep blue chippers happy anywhere esp if injuries strike early on

Calling him a diva??!! The guy who was loyal AF during recruiting and even posting convos of other coaches trying to recruit him while he remained solid.
A leader and a beast in the weight room. A kid who could’ve transferred already but hasn’t and you guys are basically giving a psychological profile from an IG post.
I’m gonna laugh my *** off when he comes in next fall at 225 and balls the fck out. Letting that knee heal as much as possible is the smartest thing for him despite how frustrated he is. Imo this is the same reason GR didn't start. He starts and breaks that ankle again and the narrative changes real mfing quick. Same with nesta.
You basically have a potential top 3 back in the country who had a knee injury. Zo will get his in bunches. No lion likes to be caged up and maybe he was expecting at least a few snaps during the last home game.
We’ve had 3 players with neck injuries and 2 players with multiple knee injuries. Last thing we need is another kid going down. A player like Zo deserves his best shot to fulfill a dream. Getting him hurt during this forgetful season is the last thing anyone wants. I’m sure if it was up to him he would’ve liked to start against Florida. But maybe the staff doesn’t want to risk it given how the season has gone.

well since you seem to know so much why don’t you enlighten the board on the matter?

Let’s just go back the first events that happened when Lorenzo’s father posted on Facebook group being unhappy about Lorenzo not playing, shortly after that his cousin posted pretty much the same thing.

A few days after that Manny Diaz was asked about seven times each day about Lorenzo he happen to say “oh yeah I had a conversation with Lorenzo And he came to me and said that yeah I’m not 100% so can you please redshirt me”. Which from all events isn’t true. Also go back to my old posts about this and check who agreed with my post.

Lorenzo was recruited by Mark Richt and a bunch of other coaches that he got to know and trust, he had a terrible injury where he missed most of last season and now has been cleared by their doctors but the coaches don’t want to use him for whatever reason, probably something to do with the depth in the future which is probably a wise idea but you have this kid who is trusting a bunch of new coaches he just met pretty much with his life and the the future opportunity to make millions of dollars in the NFL. Our coaches who honestly he hasn’t known long enough to trust plus pretty much sitting out 2 years currently aren’t even letting him practice and when he was practicing with the team it was on scout team .

So for everyone saying, oh you’ve got to prove yourself you got a move up the depth chart, how is an individual who is on the scout team just coming off a major injury, even able to show the main coaches how good he is(he just met less than a year ago, who havent seen how good he was prior to injury)

the kid just wants to play football he’s always the hardest working kid he was tops of all the weightlifting programs during the off-season he’s always first on the field when I watched him in high school and he’s always been a true diehard cane so God forbid he’s a little frustrated because of the lack of communication the staff has given him and his family.

And on his Instagram live post umless you watched it all the kid was saying was how he’s frustrated and wants to get on the field and he’s bored he wants to run track but he doesn’t even think they’re gonna let him do that and then you got a bunch of gator fans on the live broadcast bashing Manny Diaz and his live chat saying he should transfer and Lorenzo pretty much just defended Manny and saying he respects his coach too much to say anything bad and yet. People also kept telling him to stay and not transfer and he’s said he doesn’t know where that’s coming from and he just wants to play.

we have these 20 to 60-year-old guys just bashing this kid calling him and diva and it really ****es me off because Lo has NEVER been a problem not on this team and not during recruiting, you can tell the kid is doing his best to be positive but it’s been 2 years and he’s fighting through frustration.

These coaches are far from perfect also so it’s probably somewhere in the middle.

Yup. I amended my opinion/advice to include the caveat that IF the kid is even really stressing/moping. Who really knows not to mention that kids that age can have more dramatic emotional swings than severely bipolar adults committed to mental institutions.

So I should trust your interpretation and you knowing what he meant?

Sorry, unless I see it or have quotes with context, no dice.

How many times have we seen this whisper down the lane shlt and it ends up being something completely different

Yes I can tell you what said directly, however I will leave it at what I posted in this thread already. Don’t attack the people on here when he mentioned position changing amongst other things. Also, he offered this talk up. It’s not some random person making stuff up

So these are all just basically paragraphs with a collection of your opinions. The only facts are what Manny was quoted saying. The rest of his stuff pulled off media that anybody can get. You have no firsthand knowledge of anything

What with Miami players complaint after wins...

anyone Remember dionte Mullins after VT? Or the Cali DE pouting after ND game
Man you just made look up Johnson to see what he’s don3 at Oregon.... 14 tackles, 2 sacks. Think he may hav3 been just a tiny tiny bit overrated with his 100 offers
