We still got refs cheating us and a goofy *** fan base at least 20% are 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

IDK man.... I cant call it a dumb selfish play, if he went head hunting? sure. I get it we instill that in our guys to seek violence but it has to be controlled. However, if this QB never ducks into lightfoot, lightfoot doesnt shove him, if anything I guess he should have pushed him "softer" but I also think the ref got caught not paying attention, it looks like he is looking down the field, then sees a body fly and notices its the QB and lightfoot is still hauling *** so he threw the flag prob thinking it was a big blindside block but if that QB doesnt duck into LF IDK if he pushes him back, looks like he was running along side of em.

Look at the twitter zoomed in video in post 98 above, LF is running, QB lowers his head to initiate contact, LF pushes him back. He didnt even hit him with a shoulder, or helmet or anything, it was a two handed shove and the guy just flew.
 
Absurd call. Need accountability from the officials. What did Lightfoot do wrong here? Can’t block a player pursuing the guy with the ball? Also looked like the QB initiated the contact. BS
 
To me that is a no-call. HOWEVER- You can see the official watching the two as they ran down field. They are told to protect QBs. After contact the Lightfoot ran away like he was guilty of something. Needless play against a JV squad. Remember he already ragdolled the QB on the legit hit causing the TO. Please do not do this against ND or the refs might declare a foreit...........................

Post turnover the QB is immediately labeled a defenseless player but doesn’t apply if they’re engaging in the play. 100% justified and legal action by Lightfoot. It’s only a penalty if it’s an illegal block, leads with helmet, contact above the shoulders etc. It’s a clean block on a QB obviously still engaging with the play.

So based on these two plays, for future reference, you are unable to block the QB after a fumble. Everyone else is fair game. But the QB is the princess out there and cannot be touched even though they are trying to tackle someone!

Nobody is saying that. People are saying Wilson is already gone for a TD. There's no reason to hit a QB when you know the refs had been garbage up to that point and QBs are being protected way more than they used to. You can disagree with the call but also live in reality.

Go cosplay as the macho guy here but the TD didn't count. So you're wrong. Your advice is bad. And I would tell anybody on that field, if I was Mario, that if a guy is on his way to score a TD why are you doing ANYTHING that could jeopardize that? That's not the time to be a tough guy.

Like I said earlier, if this is Notre Dame instead of CMU and this happens it's a big f***ing problem.

And what if Lightfoot doesn’t pay the QB any mind, and ends up injured from him taking a shot he wasn’t bracing for? Would you feel the same way?

SMU Offensive PI screen that took away a catch inside the 5 and also knocked us out of FG Range and then also the strip sack they took away as well as the DPI no call with concurrent BS holding on SiSi. The refs were on one in that game.
