It was literally bang bang. If you can’t block a guy that’s trying to make a tackle or at least trying to run down someone else, then what game are we playing? Touch football?

The QB was a legitimate target. He insinuated himself into the play, he was participating in the play. Do we just let them have a free ride down the field to the runner?

Doesn’t matter how close he was in my opinion, he was headed down that way, which makes him a live target.

I would like for someone that’s familiar with the rulebook, inside and out, explain to me why someone who’s participating in a play and gets blocked legally get a free pass, because it was a legal block, he didn’t blindside him.

This wasn’t like the Sapp block for the Bucs, where the guy was way away from the play and wasn’t making an attempt to influence the play or get down to the runner. The QB was trying to get back in the play.

If he doesn’t want to get blocked or hit, then don’t participate in the play, give up

Because the guy is the QB and he’s like 40yds down field from the play with no chance to make the tackle.

Nope. He wasn’t quarterbacking at that point. He was a defensive player at that juncture.

What if it was another player that didn’t recognize him as the quarterback but was just a blur running down the field like he was. So you have to remember the position that someone’s playing in real time while everyone’s running down the field? Give me a break. I understand that Lightfoot knew that was the quarterback, but you can’t use that as a basis for a penalty.

Your interpretation of the rules is obviously not shared by the professionals officiating football IN 2026.

If the QB wants to get up and start acting like a football player then you hit him.

This video shows are fans once again don’t even know when they are being robbed of a call.

The fumble already happened experts. Y’all don’t even know the Lightfoot hit was legal.
They took away a fumble and the block was on the return was 50/50. Didn’t need to hit that QB. Easy call for the ref to make

Yall don’t even know they made 2 calls on one play. The fumble happened with the hit, we should have never had the turnover reversed.

We got robbed and the refs merged 2 calls to wipe out a sack and fumble for a TD.

We still got refs cheating us and a goofy *** fan base at least 20% are 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I thought of the Sapp / Chad Clifton play as well.

This, was NOT that.

And Sapp-Clifton wasnt penalized either but would be an illegal blindside block in 2026.
