I don’t know if yall watched the game over again but lightfoot on his pass rushes against their tackles he was dominating like close to a couple of sacks and had a big stop on 3rd down too. He’s gonna be a beast next year

That’s 6 with the top 4 all either having great experience or great potential (Lowe). Why do we need to waste NIL on a DE? We have other pressing needs imo.

This is my opinion, too. I just don't see why you put Blount inside on first and second down when Moten, Scott and Simpson are returning. I want to see what he can do setting the edge on his way to the ball carrier. If there's any quality at IDL in the portal, I'd plus one there not DE, and only move Blount inside if an injury happens to the starters.

I ageee, but I’m assuming there is depth behind them based on what we’ve seen so far.

Meaning, Blount and lightfoot ARE our depth this season, so I’m assuming next season’s depth will continue to be developed by JT and Damione. We don’t need to be looking to the portal for this position group, we need to keep recruiting and developing it.

Our trenches are on par with the big boys.

Where this team lacks is at the skill positions. Allocate the available funds to dynamic outside WRs and a QB1, and some linebackers. Continue to recruit and develop the trenches.

If Lightfoot works on his bend and hand usage he's going to be a top 64 pick next year. His explosiveness and speed off the edge are next level. He works on those things and he'll be finishing those plays off with sacks.

We need depth. We've been very lucky this season with injuries at the DT spot. We've basically made due with 3 true DTs and spot players with Blount and Simpson.

He doesn't need to be an every down player with his skillset. Lightfoot should aspire to be like Leonard Floyd. 240lbs monster that can rush the passer and play in space being flat/hook/curl defender. Looking at him as a true DE is a mistake in my opinion.
