Crazy that my area is starting to produce legit D1 talent on a semi regular basis. When I was in HS back in '06-'10 we had all of like 3-5 kids even get D1 looks and only like 2 of them at legit P5 schools. Cool to see!

NIL, name recognition, money are all reasons to grow your social media following.

It's a new concept, but there's a lot of money to be made on social platforms. Its not just a gossip **** type of thing that it was 10 years ago.

You can make that argument for non athletes, but social media has proven to be a valuable asset for athletes. I don’t think social media presence is necessarily a sign of a need to be valued
