Rumor LG rumors

So is Rodriguez still a rumor or what?

There's no way to sugarcoat or sunshine pump Rodriguez starting next to Carpenter as ideal, and I guarantee u that the coaches feel the same way. Its not the line they wanted.

If Rodriguez is starting, we're going to see a lot of Cam at TE.

Maybe it’s not a bad thing the handwringing is centered on one position as opposed to 4 position groups. I’ll take the craziness
Yeah don’t get me wrong I’m never gonna say don’t be concerned. We’ve had 20 years of things we should be concerned about

Mirabal is a good coach and watching the OL stuff from the offseason they’ve clearly been putting in the work to find the best 5

If Rodriguez is one of them then ok cool let’s see how it plays out in a few hours as I mentioned in another post all last offseason it was worrying about LT and that turned out fine

The only reason you think that is because he is 6'2".

He's always been a better guard prospect. He's just a better guard. He can snap, he can play center, but his best position is left guard. He was a tackle in high school. The versatility is nice.

Ryan has never not succeeded.

Won a championship at every level (5 in a row before high school with players littered throughout college football right now; starting left tackle on the first ever Columbus state title team with players littered throughout college football right now). Was always one of the better players and quiet leaders on those teams.

Maybe he could have left with all the other Manny Diaz rejects, but didn't. That's not him at all. Unlike a lot of local prospects who say its their dream to play for the University of Miami, but dip the minute they get in their feelings, this is really his and his family's dream. Borregales family the same way.

Stuck it out, even in the face of a season long injury with Mario and Mirabal here. Worked his way up from the literal BOTTOM of the depth chart with a new coach that put countless players on the roster to process players if they didn't like it. But Ryan's still here and lots of those other players aren't.

He played pretty **** well when called upon late last year.

I have no doubt he'll do the job when called upon this year.

He's a dawg.
…yeah size is pretty important for Olineman. lol.

It’s much easier to be an undersized center than guard.

i was in a physical therapy session with Ryan Rodriguez a few years ago and i remember saying, this kid will never ever play at the U. too small, too weak.

he had an impressive debut yesterday. he certainly put in the work because he was very undersized but 2 years ago.
