Lewis III Could Play RB

I didn't know that LMP moved up to 2A. We were only 1A when I went (and unfortunately played) there. The program was only a year old at that time, we only had 11 players, everyone played D,O, and ST, and the darkest kid we had was from South America lol

They didnt really move up. They no longer have 1a and 1b, 2a and 2b. They just made them go 1-8a.

I'm on board. We need all the help we can get! Having pops around the facilities won't hurt a bit either.

Hippest quote ever:

"When it comes down to getting me to the ground, not many people have success doing it."

Honestly, even if this kid only contributes on special teams, having his dad around the program for 3-4 years to mentor kids like Eddie Johnson and Gabe Terry is well worth the scholarship.

There have been a lot of detractors for Ray Lewis III. Not this guy though. Sign that MF'r up. He will go to war.

I'm riding with you on this one Larry. Never been upset that we're taking this kid. Always felt like that he is probably going to have a high football IQ and wants to be here, plus his highlight tape ain't too shabby. People can say "oh, he doesn't play competition" but that doesn't always matter. Friend of mine in HS had a very high football IQ, unmatched work ethic, and was pretty **** good (stats slip my mind now). He didn't get any FBS offers, but is now tearing **** up at Wofford, and is probably one of the frontrunners for the Walter Payton Award. So it doesn't always matter about competition.

Playing FB for Wofford is always a winning proposition. I feel like the last few guys they've had playing that position there have all gone over 1,000 yards a year. Your friend is **** good though.

Plus it doesn't hurt that his papa will be around the program a lot more... Great recruiting tool as well

This, I can picture him being an absolute terror on kick coverage

Does anyone know the team he played against that he claimed was the best in the state? What's the level of competition he'll see in the playoffs this year? Those could be good measures to see how he performs against better athletes.

What a spectacular attitude, this kid's got. So impressed.

I think a lot of you guys sleep on this kid. He plays weak competition, so he's more of a gamble because his skills are more untested, but he's right -- he's balled against that weaker competition. Determination and intelligence will get this kid on the field, just a matter of at what position.

Glad to have another Ray Lewis on the roster.

Remember, Rashawn Scott's highlight tape had some dope plays, but he got dogged for playing crap competition. Despite having his head on backwards, Scott seems to have the goods.

Weak competition doesn't necessarily mean a weak player.

Agree, this kid has had incredible stats since junior year and broke multiple rushing records in his level.
Plus I think FL2A competition level at least equals to Kansas where Bryce Brown ever played in.

Except Rashawn Scott had the size and speed to play at the BCS level. Lewis III has the size and speed to play at BCC.
