Pitt will be playing a home game at noon the Friday after Thanksgiving when the majority of the student body is either at home, recovering from the night before, or shopping. The majority of the team is from PA/NJ/OH, so unless the coaches are keeping their players in for the holiday, I would not be surprised if several of their players are spending Thanksgiving with their families thinking about anything but their horribly disappointing season (while UM's players and coaches are spending the holiday together).
Friday temperature is currently a high of 47 F and a low of 39 F, and considering the game is at noon, expect it to be much closer to the high throughout the game (so mid 40s) -- by no means freezing. To the extent it is a bit cold, Pitt's got 14 guys on their roster from Florida that'll be feeling as chilly as our guys.
But most importantly, it seems like they are starting a True Freshman at QB -- who began the season as the third stringer they hoped to redshirt. Even if they don't start the Freshman (Pickett), Pitt's starting QB to begin the season was lost for the season back in October.
