Go Canes!

I was raised a canes fan and was born in the 90s. I have always remained one even in the tough years , bad coaches no other team or fans compare to the Canes.

Not going to lie, had to google the exact date because I remember the game, but I was in 3rd grade. I had a friend that had just moved to NC from FT Lauderdale and all he talked about was the Hurricanes. He was a fast lil **** too....like REALLY fast. So we were always playing street football with the older kids and such and I had a neighbor who was from Tallahassee and he was an absolute FSU fan...always doing that annoying *** chant. He would come out to throw the football (he was military, so much older) and he was always yelling "Charlie Ward scrambles right...TOUCHDOWN!" I didn't think much of it at the time until FSU and Miami played that year and Larry (the older guy) was talking **** to my friend Amp. And when I say talking ****...if I was older back then, I would've put him in the hospital for talking to a kid like that, especially over football.

Needless to say, I started rooting for Miami in spite of him. I asked for a Miami Starter Jacket for Christmas, got me some orange windbreakers...I was flexing hard in 93-94. All the while, I knew nothing about the history of the program because we didn't get the games on TV in NC at the time. (The ONLY reason I was happy we got an invite to the ACC.)

Fast forward to 1996 I believe it was, and Miami was playing ECU and I remember the running back Harley just running ALL over the Canes. Again...everyone in NC was talking **** about the Canes. I just remember never seeing an ECU fan until that day all of a sudden.

Just know, this story gets longer again chance coincidences that lead me to program as I was growing up. And I hate to give credit to a ****tard FSU fan for my introduction.

Yeah, I aint reading all that **** either. Sorry that happened to me, or...congratulations.

The first Canes game I attended was the 1998 MPC Bowl (I was four) at Joe Robbie Stadium; my first home game was 2000 vs. FSU which was so hot for six-year-old me. After those early experiences I have been hooked--but most of what I've experienced has been decay and disappointment; Can't believe we have a legitimate chance to hoist #6--and also that after sitting through every home game from 2000-2019 (will never forget the last game at the OB and '15 vs. Clemson), I missed all of these playoff games and will miss this one too because of the cost. Happy for the Canes, sad for me.
