Gundy and Patterson each were hot and had "it" at one point and seem to have lost that. Plus, they are revered where they're at and would cost a lot to get them in Coral Gables.
I'm still open to Mario, but I want to see him win some games when the talent is the same or even better. There were games he lost last year that he shouldn't have and you could definitely say that for the Auburn game this year. If he pulls a Dabo and learns how to win, then Mario would shoot right to the very top for me. Of course, the run is - if he becomes successful there, will he really trade that in to come to the U? He's an alum, so maybe, but it'd be tough.
I think your best (realistic) suggestion is Wilcox. He's your strongest argument and if Manny doesn't pan out, I'd be interested in him.
