So Manny's undying love of the University of Miami and his perceived intelligence (See Barry Jackson's latest column, other media characterizations, etc) have been a narrative forced down our throats since he was hired.

What proof of any of this have we ever had beyond lisp service?

Dude was the son of a high power/politically connected UM Law grad yet he chooses to go to FSU undergrad in 1992? He couldn't get into UM even back then with daddy's connections? Or maybe he just preferred FSU.

That aside, what does this "genius" do at the Harvard of Tallahassee? Earns the ever so respectable communications degree.

But we're continuously told he's an intelligent dude that bleeds orange and green. Perhaps the media ain't the best judges on this front as they're obviously susceptible confuse smooth (even if lispy) talk with actual intelligence when it's obvious we got a Nole con man that is 1000x more a politician than a Mensa member.

End rant. I'm off to drink some bleach and kill a few hookers.

Signed,

Peruche

Daddy has been pushing his moron son since the day Rick got hired. Half the BOT has donated to his campaigns.

The whole “Miami fan” angle and “he’s smart” is all part of Daddy’s cleverly packaged presentation, and the moron fans fell for it.

It's just hilarious how the media parrots it too. What proof of his intelligence could they possibly have? There's certainly nothing indicative of it on his actual resume.

You're absolutely correct in we were sold a carefully pre-packaged facade. It's just insane that some people are willing to continue to repeat it.

Manny is ****y and articulate. His ‘communications’ degree.

He comes off as a ‘systems’ thinker.
