The way kids are going pro early and hitting the portal, it's best to give young guys all the PT possible. You dont necessarily empty the bench, but in key positions, let those guys gets some time.

This is what's going to limit his snap count, ESPECIALLY v A2M. But I can see him getting more and more playing time as he works on the fundamentals. Just don't think we'll see him too much this coming Saturday.

If we're talking true Freshmen, Bissainthe, is both technically sound and more athletic than Flagg. I expect he'll see the field a bit. No idea why Johnson can't figure out his assignments. He should be our starter at MLB but is just a mention at this point.

Other true freshmen I'm looking at -- Cooper getting a lot of action on the OL, Skinner will have his name called, and I'm hoping Graves begins getting some gametime snaps at corner.

Seems like all coaches go with what they trust first and foremost and it’s always frustrating. We’ve played a lot of guys recently that I trust to not make a play. With a relatively low expectation season id rather roll the dice. But too much too soon has also backfired on us where guys don’t get better because they locked down a spot.

Takes a while to figure out your guys but needless to say there’s guys playing a lot now that should maybe play a little and vice versa

Why do you always, always think the young guys who "flash" are a better bet on the field? Doesn't it strike you as odd that every single coaching staff chooses to play mostly older guys? Isn't it possible that in practice it becomes clear that the more experienced guys make fewer mistakes and are better at knowing where they should be? Isn't it possible that the guys who get paid to live and breathe football have a better sense of who to put in the game?

Try this. Your QB struggles and you scream that the FR on the bench has so much upside, why not get him in the game? Cool, coach benches the starter and puts the kid in. He has a rocky season, gets sacked a lot and throws as many INTs as TD. The following year, it's more of the same and you scream that this guy has been ruined by playing too early and what the team really needs is to put in the FR who's on the bench. And guess how that goes?

Final question...what's your explanation for the fact two completely different staffs have put Ivey on the field repeatedly? Sure, Manny sucked, but can't Mario see your point? Doesn't he at least know how smart and right you are?

A fair assessment. Ultimately, he's a true freshman. I keyed in on him on a couple snaps. On one, he absolutely demolished the RT and forced a quick incomplete pass. On another, against the LT, he got absolutely washed inside. Some good and bad, which is expected.
