I don’t know hometeam, I was going to give you a 👍🏿 But then I realized the portal is being used to “fix” all the holes on college sports rosters.

And some coaches may have to make some kind of adjustments (fixes) if they want to stay in the top 10 every year. In our case, something needs to be fixed/done at the OL and DBs positions.

I refuse to believe we have no one better than Thornton. 😅 Don’t mean to gang tackle the young man but😡

Hometeam I don’t think anyone hates Dawson but that’s not saying much if you had been following the team for 20 years. And I’m going to give him/Mario his props for finally bringing us in the new era of college football. But you can’t sit there and type that Dawson doesn’t have flaws. It can take a half before he makes adjustments or the defense have to take over the game in order to get the win.

The funniest thing about your stats sheet is it should be a lot better than that. He’s a good OC surrounded with very talented players and on the verge of having a 3rd QB drafted in 3 years…nothing more or less.

This isn’t a complaint against Dawson but I think Mario will be able to hire someone much better when Dawson does leave.

Note to self: I’m very interested in seeing can he actually develop a QB in the near future
 
Surprised we haven't had a poster do Lanning > Mario since we've been ranked #1. I think some people need to see a perfect team effort every game and if they don't they come here to complain.

One day we will lose (hopefully not this year) and every person so upset that we didn't cover on Saturday will be here gloating. It's almost like they can't wait for that day just to prove their "told you so" post and be refreshed.

News flash. We arent perfect and we won't be. As much as I was frustrated in parts of the game on Saturday, I wouldn't take any other team over ours. Just ******* enjoy the ride! It's been 25 ******* years!

For some teams the portal is used to fix their roster, for teams like us its to fill in spots.

I think fixing is different than adjusting, fixing sounds like its broken we were broken before before mario, adjusting is you have the tools but change the way you use them to do more.

I think we should have added more to the oline because samson looked like a day1 guard, but now we gotta play a freshman even tho he solid and sj. So i don’t think there’s any fixing or adjusting to the oline this year, especially with a starting guard out, we just gotta hope they get better

I agree thorton needs to sit down, hopefully we see that with lucas back. So we can move bryce to safety, maybe rotate bryce and poyser in at nickel since jj is playing alot at strong safety
 
You know what coach has been great at addressing weaknesses the last few years. The head coach of the Miami hurricanes, I’m sure they will make changes needed to win. Last year it was the offense that needed some tweaks. This year it’s the defense, I think this is our SMU moment, our wake up call. We will be ok and come out of this game a better team. 1-0 go canes.

So Dawson has flaws. Okay.

Just so I understand the standard, which coordinator in all of college football has it all figured out? Like, THAT’S the guy who doesn’t have flaws.

Looking forward to your answer, and the data to support it.
 
You would think we average less than 4 yards per carry and suck.

We are 13th in country in rushing yards per game (226.50 yards) and 3RD in avg per rush (6.09). Only teams ahead of us are Army and KSU. Everyone just thinks we should rush 10yds per carry on every play. The other teams have NIL and guys on scholarships as well.

When it was clear Shannon/Golden/Richt etc were finished and they **** out "a win is a win" when we'd vomit out a close ACC victory amid a calamity of errors. Obviously not the same situation (since I know that'll be the response) but the thought process lives on in these dudes.

Theres a **** ton to fix before anyone should feel comfortable going through a gauntlet later in the year. Staffs gotta get in the lab

It happened right after Mali broke off that 25 yard catch and run just over 2 mins to go. Seen Mirabal kinda yelling at Dawson to run the ball and Dawson looked ****ed. Kinda took the momentum from Mali's catch away because we ran 3 straight runs and had to punt the **** ball.
