Lets give it up for Hartley

Special Teams is a 3rd of the game. Richt doesn't believe in it doesn't hire a dedicated coach and has players like Robert Knowles playing ST.

At least we havent heard knowles name in awhile where it counts. Our special teams has been decent, bubba baxa kicking like a solid 4 year starter, great job on kickoffs. About the only phase of special teams that's been a problem is our punting game, and that's the most serious one for the whole team, that's going back to youth and mostly mental. But the consistency started showing up by feagles these last few games. We got alot to build on going into next year, so if coach richt somehow gets rejuvenated, cause im sure this has been one of his toughest years as a coach, and im sure he's no quitter either, its going to be real interesting come next year, itll be a beautiful thing if coach richt keeps the staff the same though.

You guys are ridiculous. Not crowning the guy. I have b*tched and moaned about his special teams all year, but I am still going to give props if I see some sort of improvement.

It may be because there is an increased focus, or maybe Feagles has seen the sports psychologist lately. Either way, there has been an improvement and I will give credit where credit is due.

I don't think Hartley needs to be fired, though. The aussie punter may just be what we need. It is amazing how our coverage has looked with a half decent punt.

Special Teams was an abject failure this year.

Props to JT & DJ for getting us some much needed PR TD's, but I'm sorry not gonna crown Hartley for the last 2 games.

Man gets paid a lot of money to produce much better than that & while he is a very good recruiter he hasn't done a good enough job in 3 years of ST's coaching. He needs to only coach TE's & that's it.

Spot on. Even if our offense had been remotely competent I'm highly confident that special teams still would've lost us a game or more this year.

I absolutely love Hartley as a recruiter and he seems to be a good TE coach but you're absolutely correct in wanting a change in the ST's coaching.

From watching this year, you can blame most of our ST mishaps on two individuals, Robert Knowles and Feagles. No joke, go back and look at any punt returns against us. You take Knowles off the field and Feagles/Aussie punts half decent and I sincerely think the special team woes disappear.
