Let The U Be The U

I see your point, but I agree with OP… hear me out:

The dynasty teams played loose and had fun. This team is uptight and anxious. Remember when the SMU QB fumbled?

Before the refs reviewed the play, when everyone thought we got the ball back…The defense just walked off the field. No celebration, no congratulating teammates. They just turned and walked off. No energy, no excitement, no fun. Thats a problem.

I don’t think OP wants personal fouls, taunting and fake bravado. Which is what we have now. I think he wants a team that’s not scared to make a mistake.
!!! Everything matters

Respectfully disagree.
We celebrated plenty and had plenty of bravado in the first 5 games....if it looks like we don't now is because things aren't going well.
I still think we celebrate plenty still but it's not the point.
We are bad and it's not because we are tight and not loose. We are bad, and it's not because of the intangible reasons the OP brought up.
We have REAL tangible problems.

I hate Nick Saban, but that POS had a great quote while addressing his team the year they opened with us and destroyed us.

"LET YOUR PLAY SPEAK LOUDER THAN YOUR WORDS"

Let quote the OP
"That edge, that swagger, that attitude, that we are better than you energy. That is what made teams fear us"

That's peak stupidity. What made them fear us was Jerome Brown, Warren Sapp, Ray Lewis, Ed Reed.....etc etc etc. Legendary football players
Lol nobody was telling Ed Reed Sean Taylor Warren sap sanatana moss what to do or not to do

Lmao teams didn’t fear us because we talked ****. Teams feared us because we beat the **** out of them and took no prisoners on the field.

Absolutely distorted view on our history and what made us great.

The **** talking don’t hit the same when you are at 2 losses in ******* November

If talking **** mattered, Miami would’ve won at Louisville when they stomped on the bird.

Instead, Louisville came out and gave Miami a savage *** whomping

It ain’t about talking ****… it’s about playing loose, fast and violent. This team is uptight, anxious and afraid to make a mistake.

OP isn’t saying to dance over QBs, he’s saying the attitude of the team needs to change.

Matt Shodell actually had a good rant on today’s GM Canesport addressing your sentiments. It’s worth a look.

Mario keeps talking about not going back to the old days. But those “old days” are literally what built Miami. That edge, that swagger, that attitude, that we are better than you energy. That is what made teams fear us. That is what turned The U into a national problem.

There was another article where he said we don’t need to celebrate, we don’t need to talk, we don’t need to be that same Miami anymore. And I completely disagree. Our best teams and our best players always had that fire. They talked, they celebrated, they got in your face, and then they backed it up by dominating. That is who we are.

So when Mario sits there and says SMU has as much talent as we do, that is crazy to me. We are Miami. We don’t show respect to the other team. We make the other team fear us. We walk in like we run the field. That has always been our DNA. They’re supposed to fear the colors, fear the logo, fear lining up across from a Miami Hurricane.

So yes. We do need to go back.

We need to bring back the talking.
We need to bring back the celebrating.
We need to bring back the swagger.
We need to bring back running up the score and letting everybody know who we are.

Because when Miami is Miami, nobody in the country wants that smoke. The moment we try to act polite and humble and “professional,” we lose what makes us different.

Let the players celebrate.
Let the players talk.
Let us play Miami football.

And let these teams remember why The U was feared in the first place.

You have not a clue on what made people fear Miami or make it great. You are using the stereotype costume national narrative bs as the reason

People are so stupid thinking this post is just about talking ****

This I agree with

It’s not inherently bad to be tuff and fizical and smashmouth

But when things get tight Mario just goes back to what he is at his core which is a caveman offensive lineman that thinks in 2025 the game should be played by getting behind the OL and diving forward

He’s made some attempts to change (imo) but the second things get difficult a person is gonna go back to who they are at their core

Anybody else besides @TheOriginalCane agree with Mario not wanting our players to celebrate and mock the war chant when we beat the heck out of FSU?

If Mario wants to build Miami back, then he has to embrace what made Miami Miami. You can’t sanitize The U. You can’t “professional culture” your way to dominance here. These kids feed off emotion. Let them celebrate. Let them mock. Let them take a rival’s soul.

So now you are starting NEW threads to lie about me and to lie about things I never said.

************, I pretty much own Gator Tear and SemenHole Tears. I've been mocking UF and F$U for nearly my entire life. I still do the SemenHole War Chant with both middle fingers extended.

You picked the wrong person to lie about, particularly on this subject, you ******* liar.

Based on your comments in the other thread I figured you'd back mario up on this. Seems like you'd want to suspend them from the team for doing such a thing

When **** starts getting carried over from one thread to another, it becomes a problem.

Let it go.
