Coaching job was ***, and part of that is the inexcusable lack of action from Mario working the refs. I literally didn’t see it happen. No blow ups. No confrontation. The Malachi “fair catch” penalty was EGREGIOUS. SO BAD. Why is our big tough head guy getting paid millions per year not GOING APE ****.

This is why you can’t get mad about a ******* game. Non athletes won’t understand how hard it is to play a game where you can’t gain any momentum. No the refs didn’t throw the picks, but they put in bad situations all game with bull**** calls.

the drive before this (far more important as we were struggling and down 14-0 IIRC), we were GIFTED a fake bs blindside block " " play on, whereif that wasn't called, they continue their drive for 3 at worst, maybe 7

another gift on a joke roughing the passer call for us that kept a key drive alive

and a no-call on OJ versus Bell that for my money seemed blatant. would have gotten them past or near midfield instead they punt as a result

and we can go there, but aside from the run scheme (which needs fixing and variety), this one falls all on Beck and not coach, sorry.

It’s weird how a certain sector of fans are overly obsessed with the refs. Watching games with these folks they do nothing but look for missed calls. They must yell Holding like 50 times a game. This is where they seem to find their niche of entertainment value in the sport. The refs are like issues 87 on our list of issues. I realize you zealots won’t get over it, so have at this exciting conversation of conspiracy.
 
I’d have made that fair catch call too. Can’t get the arm up like that. Looks like some of the first defenders down pulled up as a result.

On brand for the refs.

We get TDs wiped off the board weekly.

It's tradition for those ****suckers.
 
Man we’ve got to get off this “ the ref’s caused us to lose” crap that comes out every time we lose.
Were there bad and missed calls…of course they happen every game but let’s not pretend they didn’t call a couple of iffy calls on UL( the roughing call against them on the interception comes to mind).

We got outplayed and outcoached in all phases of the game and weren’t ready to play after another bye week which is usual for us.

Go ahead and downvote me all you want but the reason we lost this game was caused by a whoooole lot of people with that Big “U” on their shirts,hats and uniforms.
 
Agree. In general the game was horribly reffed. Beck got bailed out on the first of his 4th INTs

We netted out worst with the phantom fair catch and lack of DPI

Toney said it best after the game. It’s part of football

Blind side block and roughing the passer (that negated a Beck INT) in our favor.

PI on Toney and missed holds on the d line in their favor.

Wasn’t nearly as one sided as you’re trying to make it out to be

It looked like he started to wave but thought better of it. It was close. If they did that and got a good return this base would cry like we killed their child.

Point out where I'm making it out to be one sided.

The refs were crap period. Yes we got some lucky breaks. Yes, I still want to see the HC being paid millions to do anything and everything to win, including working the refs on unfavorable calls. This is a criticism on Mario more than the ref job.
