Let’s go Virginia

You guys realize after we curbstomp FSU next Saturday, Coach Mario Cristobal will be the Aristotle of big 3 Florida coaches, and his philosophy is: hit the other guy with a rock. If that doesn't work, hit him with a rock again and again What a time to be alive and canes fan!

Good point. Whoever checks him just tackle him on the short back shoulders and don't get beat by cement shoes deep like UVA managed a few times and I like our chances.
I think someone had mentioned why Lucas name never comes up and Memnon broke it down. I’m totally in my lane over here not knowing much about DB play though so I’ll just not say much more 🤣

Not a fan of fans doing this. Castellanos is not some dirty player or something. I dont know. Funny maybe, but wildly tacky too. Maybe im on the high road. Dude has family watching. Hate the personal attack on him.
The amount of **** Tommy C talks that is what he gets. Gotta be able to take it if ur gonna give it

@k9cane you've repeated the adage that it's hard to coach up a team against a squad that lost the week before. I think Mario smells blood in the water and will go for the kill shot next Saturday.

Either way, is a 2OT loss on balance worse for FSU because of the emotional letdown (and plenty of bad tape)?

This could go either way, FSU is either deflated, or they have an increased sense of urgency.

But I remember in 2002 ,when Miami had a FAR superior team that they were lucky to defeat FSU at the Orange Bowl in a game that they were losing by two scores in the 4th quarter. That was the game that nobody wanted to tackle Greg Jones.

Rivalry games are different. I will say this, we know how seriously Mario takes things like in-state rivalries and 'trajectory of programs' in Florida. Given that fact it's FSU and we have a BYE week, I expect a team that will be ready to play ball.

In regards to tonights game, I thought Virginia with their live offense would give FSU some problems, but I believed that the Noles would pull away late to win by something like 48-31. But the way Elliot slowed the game down with the run game was key

Gona press your crazy recall here, but how has this rivalry fared one side or the other after a big loss

Id have to think about that a bit, but I do recall after we lost to Cincinnati on a Thursday night in 2015 , Miami went into Tally and was leading late in that game and once again, Dalvin Cook broke our heart in the 4th

in 1999 we were coming off few losses and were actually leading at the half in Tally vs the eventual national title winner.

That adage about rivalry games being different is true. But you still have to have a team good enough to compete, regardless

I just don't see it up front for FSU. I also think we haven't seen Miami's best at all this year.
