Let’s be honest

I didn't have that thought at all. Feels like the switch flipped for the team and Mario after the SMU game.

While I don't think he was as bad last night as some posters have mentioned, I do think Dawson made some incredibly unnecessary and questionable play calls last night. About 3 plays into our first possession, I knew we brought it....and by brought it, I mean the physicality up front with the run game. Ole Miss was outmatched at the LOS. It is my opinion (and I'm not a coach, nor a play caller) that you run the ball down their throats until they stop you. I believe in the same concept applied to basketbal as well when the team keeps feeding the shooter with the hot hand - stick with what's working until the other team stops it.
I thought the flea flicker call was the perfect example of what NOT to do. We were running the ball up their A-hole, er gap, very effectively, for several plays. Then we run a flea flicker that turns to mierda. Why? Sure, if it works some are sitting here calling Dawson a genius right now. My contention is that had they kept feeding Fletcher, we score a TD anyway. Instead, we got an intentional grounding call. Buzz kill.
Yeah, I didn't think he was that terrible, but I didn't like the flicker, and I didn't like the Wildcat. If we just keep running the ball as per normal on those, and if the hands of our DBs didn't turn into sticks of butter, this game probably isn't that close.

We need a 1,000,000% react button for this

Anything can happen but if we went to overtime we were losing this game most likely

I’m sure our coaches were thinking the same thing
I HATE overtime and never feel good or confident about it. Ever.

I didn't. They knew Ole Miss would come right back down the field and their kicker is a weapon.

If those things happen, we win by 14 or more.

How many of yall thought we’d play it safe at the end and go for 3 and send it to OT instead of going for a touchdown
Mario wasn't a CORCH. Ran, TO, Pass knowing incomplete kills the clock, 3rd down could be a run or pass with another time out left. Great coaching by Mario and Dawson.

Not for a single second honestly

Not with how our defense was falling apart and our kicker missed a FG
agreed, you could see it in the play calling and in mario's face.

it would have been gross negligence and i think mario has already learned that lesson
