Let’s be honest

Not for a single second honestly

Not with how our defense was falling apart and our kicker missed a FG
This, needed to put the game away in regulation. Defense was beat to ****, and who knows what happens if we make it to OT.

There was nothing shown that last drive which said yeah we’re going for OT. That was a TD drive all the way

Nope. We were moving the ball so well. All the passes made me nervous but our boy Beck just “Devil’s Haircut” that shizz.

That last TD by Beck eerily reminded me of the OT interception vs SMU. It's almost like Beck needed to learn his lesson the hard way that game so that he wouldn't force it into traffic last night.

Again, I need to rewatch to be sure. I could’ve taken a whole bottle of Xanax and still not calmed down by that point in the night.

But i thought that we FINALLY played with a sense of urgency in 4Q. When Chris Fowler was saying “you don’t want to leave too much time on the clock” with like 6:30 left, i was asking wtf is he talking about.

We were snapping it with like 25+ seconds on the play clock. Coaching to win, finally.

Even the timeout Mario called before the half. Beck got sacked so he tucked his balls back in which led to giving up 3 points. But at least he called the TO. He is getting better as a gameday coach, slowly but surely. (Very slowly lol)

But yeah, it was either a heck INT or we were scoring a TD. FG never crossed my mind.

Dawson had himself a hèll of a game last night. Tip of the cap to our OC
While I don't think he was as bad last night as some posters have mentioned, I do think Dawson made some incredibly unnecessary and questionable play calls last night. About 3 plays into our first possession, I knew we brought it....and by brought it, I mean the physicality up front with the run game. Ole Miss was outmatched at the LOS. It is my opinion (and I'm not a coach, nor a play caller) that you run the ball down their throats until they stop you. I believe in the same concept applied to basketbal as well when the team keeps feeding the shooter with the hot hand - stick with what's working until the other team stops it.
I thought the flea flicker call was the perfect example of what NOT to do. We were running the ball up their A-hole, er gap, very effectively, for several plays. Then we run a flea flicker that turns to mierda. Why? Sure, if it works some are sitting here calling Dawson a genius right now. My contention is that had they kept feeding Fletcher, we score a TD anyway. Instead, we got an intentional grounding call. Buzz kill.
