Leonard Taylor - logs 15 snaps

I think that’s why this class is very important and why we need to flip some recruits. We need to build on top of the foundation that was set last year, getting quality olineman to back up. Push the dudes ahead of them. Getting quality edge rushers and DT to push the young dudes. The 2023 class is an important building block, and a pivotal one, for the future of Miami football.
We will be ok

That penalty ****ed me off too. It was about to be 4 and 15 or something such. U cant have that. Mistakes cost us the Texas A&M game last season too. Sit over here
I can't remember the exact sequence, but I think it was going to be 3rd and 16 from their four yard line. We had just pinned them deep with a holding call on 2nd down. They replayed the down on 2nd and 16 and had an incompletion. The down was now 3rd and 16. However, shortly after the play was over, LT was called for that unsportsmanlike conduct. New set of downs at the 19 yard line. I might have to go back and watch the replay.

Either way, having them deep in their own territory with 16 yards to go was bad news for the Redhawks. They might have just tried to play safe and run on 3rd and 16 to avoid a possible sack or turnover. No way they are converting that 3rd and 16. That penalty was absolutely a killer. They didn't end up scoring on that possession, but they changed field position and kept the game from being a route for a little while longer.

He wasn't penalized for just complaining about a hold to the ref. First of all he wasn't even actually being held. Olineman was blocking him to end of whistle, and he didn't like that and shoved him hella late.

I was at the game so didnt remember the exact down but the distance. In a big game that penalty is a hella momentum swing. It doesnt matter against Ohio Miami or Bethune but u lose a game by 3 points to a good team and that ends up the difference. Our players have to become smarter on the field.

He was getting doubled, he was being held like a **** on top of that then he got benched after the penalty. I dont think there is anything to worry about, I bet he comes out with his hair on fire this week and makes a big impact

I think the refs just decided to not call, holding because it was such a mismatch at the line of scrimmage. Just wanted to keep the game

Absolutely. Good teams will usually capitalize on those mistakes. Miami of Ohio was still able to change field position, so it did change the outcome a little. Might not have affected the outcome as far as win/loss, but it might have prevented us from blowing them out a little earlier, possibly scoring more points.

Agree. And I think we def need 9 wins to get the momentum back.
