2026 Lekhy Thompkins 3* RB/LB/ATH from IMG via University School/Trinity Christian Commited to Louisville

@DMoney write up

Lekhy Thompkins is a t6'1, 235-pound hree-star Louisville commit from Franklin, Tennessee. He just moved to IMG and picked up a Miami offer. He's a productive running back but projects even better on defense (see clips in latter half of his highlight reel). He also plays basketball. Nothing imminent but a name to monitor.

Because of his size, some colleges envision Thompkins possibly playing linebacker or even defensive line, but he has his sights set on staying at running back.

"Both of those schools — Louisville and Miami — are giving me the opportunity to play running back."

Thompkins has been committed to Louisville since June 20 and Miami just offered in late July, but the Hurricanes have made a quick impact.

"I've always wanted to go to Miami. Louisville came first, which is why I'm still committed to them, but Miami is still strong. They're still recruiting me."

54:45 - 58:20 speaks on Thompkins. Comps him to Lofton & CJ Donaldson with his versatility.

...before switching him to the defensive side of the ball.

I have a feeling there are some unknown ties to South Florida in this recruitment. Unclear why he'd be a Canes fan in Jackson, TN.

Yep.. at first i was very excited for him as a LB- but then someone mentioned D Tackle and i could absolutely see that. This kid is a monster. Give him time and he will grow into our next monster DT imo.

He looks like he's bout 245 & he runs like he works the graveyard shift at a steel mill.

Big slow power back; more Bo Scarborough than Derrick Henry IMO.

It's insane because he's not moving quick or fast at all, but no one can catch him lol
im telling you this guy was just like that.

You just have to know Mario is salivating watching his hudl.

I’m not a scout or coach but watching that game last night he was far and away the most impactful player in that game. Hoover knew he was getting the ball and was basically powerless to stop him.
