Lebatard's Incoherent Musings on Saban and QBs

Been avoiding this guy since he was Assistant Sports Editor of the Miami Hurricane Newspaper....bout 30 years now.

All of the built-in bias against him and whatever his history down here is aside, I find it most insulting how ill and under-informed the guy is. The last time I listened to him he was ranting about how Hard Rock was the worst college environment in the country- a clear example of him having not actually been to a Canes game in years. He must be watching them all over at Billy Cohen's place.....our two national "authorities" on Miami football....that strangely are never seen anywhere near.....actual Miami football.

How the heck does one know who is or isn't in a big *** stadium?

As for the environment at Phins place, it has been widely talked about how this years partially enclosed roof has added what was missing, a live *** game day experience.

The crowds and noise prior was much smaller and quieter. When did he make that statement? I would bet a large amount of money it wasn't after the Domer or VT games.

If it wasn't for UGA's Saunders being ridiculously dumb, people would be blaming Tua for losing the game because of that 16 yard sack he took. Kid might be the goods or he might fizzle out, it was one game.

The kid threw 3 touchdown passes, scrambled for critical 1st downs, was a field general and **** near won the game singlehandedly. It is laughable to think that had the sack you refer to not happened Tau's incredible performance would have been ignored. Further, after the sack the Bulldogs kicked a field goal.

Talking about the sack right before the game winning TD. That sack took them out of field goal territory basically. Also Kiffen and others said, if Saunders reads that play correctly and Tua throws that ball, it gets picked off and now we are talking about 2 TDs and 2ints with back to back horrible plays. Great game? Yeah for sure, but I'm not giving him the Heisman already.

Not to mention that one of his tds was also caught by a receiver he clearly wasn't intending it for. It's moot though because the end result is all that matters on a stage like that but it does seem like there is some severe prisoner-of-the-moment'itis going around in deeming the kid a longterm superstar. We kinda already did that with Fromm....until he disappeared in the 2nd half.

Bama's schedule is pretty weak (again) next year but it might be wise to pump the breaks just a little on this kid before we're sure his gunslinger style doesn't actually cost them a game or two by itself......not that it'd keep them out of the Playoff or anything.

Lebatard's comments about Hard Rock were made AFTER the GT and VT games during Notre Dame week. So it's obvious he has no idea what he's talking about and may have even admitted when Mike Ryan weakly pushed back that he hadn't been to a Canes game in years.

As for Cohen, I know a few people that know him very well and absolutely believe he's a giant fraud. Not that one couldn't ascertain that on their own just from his media appearances and public conduct during the Shapiro nonsense.

Sure, satan is on a roll, not unlike belicheat and the pats, but it won't last forever. Lefattard's logic is not logical, so it's no use in trying to understand it. As far as Tua goes, the kid has talent for sure, but Ga didn't prepare for the kid, so they got caught off guard. The loss was totally on Ga. Satan was desperate, he had no other choice but to put in the freshman, they weren't winning with Hurt, and they got lucky. So how is satan a coaching genius?

Well...let's see...how is Saban a coaching genius?...could it be the 6 National Championships he has in his trophy case and was 3 seconds from winning a 7th?

If you watched the recent game against Georgia you witnessed one of the most remarkable feats in college football history. A true freshmen came off the bench in the second half of a National Championship Game, threw 3 touchdown passes, led his team to a come from behind victory and was nothing short of brilliant. In his interview after the game Tau, the true freshmen spoke about what he encountered and how he beat everything Georgia threw at him, which was everything they had! His description of the game sounded like a Heisman winning, 4 year starter. That speaks to the incredible coaching and preparation he had received.

Oh! And by the way...Nick Saban will win even more National Championships should he continue to coach the Tide.

Like Saban or hate Saban...he 's the best college football coach ever!

I was referencing satan's decision to change qb's at halftime and how everyone, specifically Lebastard, now thinks satan is a qb whisperer. No body in their right mind puts in a true freshman at halftime in the NC game, unless you have no other option. But, he made the call, so he get gets the glory. But let's not make him out to be Bill Walsh or Don Coryell.

Again, despite the sack they successfully kicked a field goal.

The reason Saunders didn't read the play correctly is because of the amazing job Tau did in looking him off.

All this "if" "if" "if" stuff is absurd. You could make the same arguments that "if" this or "if" that happened Tau would have thrown 6 touchdown passes and ran for 5 more. You are suggesting people suspend reality to buy into your attack on Tau. Just remember; "if" a frog had wings he wouldn't womp his **** each time he jumped.

I keep hearing people saying "he threw a dime" to the WR, no he threw a pretty pass to a guy wide friggin' open that most CFB QB's could throw when the safety decides he's done playing. he may turn out to be a stud, but didn't we hear the same things about the guy he actually replaced?

Saban's call was nothing short of a mixture of brilliant and heroic. He sure as **** had an option...stay with a QB who over the last 2 season won 26 games for you that includes a CFB Semifinal win and 3 seconds from a National title.

Saban is far from my favorite person, but taking shots at his accomplishments/brilliance is a fools errand. Name another coach who has put his balls on the line in front of the world by benching a proven winner for a true freshmen...for the second half of a...NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!!! Granted, Hurts had a poor first half, but Saban's move was nothing short of brilliant and courageous. You may never again witness what you saw last Monday.

Finally, many who truly know the game of football believe Saban is the best football coach ever...I find it hard to argue their conclusion.

I understand we all have to go to the dentist now and then, but why would you deliberately put yourself through the torture of listening to LeWindbag???

Believe me, I contemplated pulling the power cord from the wall in the reception area but there was another guy in there with me that kept asking if I ever watch this show and saying how funny it was. Kinda looked like Laz.

LeRetard is for LeRetard. I'm sure he is pulsing everyone he knows from Burbank to Bristol to find who the next boss of the "Worldwide Leader" will be after Skipper got forced out...So much fellatio (or who knows, cunnilingus) to perform, so little time for Dan.

Who would have thought Miami would have, as it's "Dean" of sports media, a fat **** slob who needs guy he calls "Stugotz" and his own Dad in order to make it.
