I’ve been saying all year that I think Coleman will be the next HS guy to start @ the U

i'd want longstreet too if I was in their shoes. they arent a leavitt away from competing next season. so the extremely talented kid that's got more years available seems like the better option for them
It’s a good cope by them, but Leavitt is a RS Sophomore. He still has two years of eligibility remaining. If Longstreet is what they think he is, then he’s gone in 2 years anyway, and would need massive pay bump after next season.

Also, for everyone talking about bringing in 4-5 QBs to visit, if feasible Im sure Mario would do that every year (for every position) but there’s still a limit on OVs allowed (which I believe is 70) and that doesn’t reset until April 1st.

Not sure the count canes are at from March 31st till now, might be tight where we can’t waste them.

That bs is beyond unenforceable. Use all 70 "official" visits. Then classify all after 71 as "unofficial visits" "unoficially." NCAA is toothless and this is entirely untraceable.

Correct, easier now just gotta be careful. Harbaugh got in trouble with NCAA for buying a kids meal on an unofficial visit. But yes, you’re right, most of that is now back channels through the agent so it’s “Not Miami paying”

Only thing I’ll say is if we do miss on him you have to look at Chambliss at Ole Miss and remember there are some sleeper guys who can flat out play out there. I trust the staff.
I trust Mario 100% as well. I’m hoping for some news today but either way I know we will be good at the start of next season.

Maybe I'm mistaken but doesn't the portal window close today for everyone except Miami and Indiana? Although I'm sure he has a backup plan, seems like a lot to coordinate in the next 18 hours if Leavitt tells Mario no.
