Leavitt

I’m not buying that. I don’t think he’s worthy of a first round grade, but that doesn’t matter….. QBs get over-drafted every year. There will be enough desperate teams.

Edit: meant to type over-drafted not overrated
Teams will give Anthony Richardson a chance as a starter before they draft Simpson in the first

Even if he doesn't go top 5, where Moore would, he could still go later R1 to a QB needy team like Miami or Pittsburgh (who has nothing after Rodgers leaves), or a bad team like the Jets/Cardinals/Browns who trade up from early R2 to late R1 to secure their guy and get the 5th year option on the contract. QB needy NFL teams are impulsive.

In the last 20 years, there's only been 2 years where only 1 QB went R1.....2013 and 2022.
And this qb class is on the same level as those drafts teams will give a retread a chance over Simpson

True mopes never die.

Mopes are never wrong, just early

Never underestimate the ability of people who make millions of dollars to make absolutely stupid decisions.
Anthony Richardson being one of the latest.
If that guy can go round one then Simpson can absolutely do it.
Yeah with barely over 50% completion rate. Almost as many interceptions than touchdowns for his entire college career. Somebody said yeah I like that. That somebody was Indianapolis.

Is Richardson stupid, or the people who signed him for millions?

The answer is obvious and has been staring us in the face all along.

All Miami needs to do is fabricate and back-date some medical reports and we can sign Trinidad Chambliss.

I'm only half-joking. Think about it, it could work for us.

Ironically, there are more posters on the LSU 247 threads that don’t want Leavitt than want him. They prefer Longstreet and the kid who just committed. concerns are same as ours…

i'd want longstreet too if I was in their shoes. they arent a leavitt away from competing next season. so the extremely talented kid that's got more years available seems like the better option for them

We also should have Longstreet in for a visit. If only to drive his cost up as well. Dont just concede him to Lane
that's just not a realistic thing when you're also managing your current roster

we have nickel and Coleman on campus, hard enough for them to see senior qb's come in and take their jobs. hosting zero experience qb's just like them would create unnecessary problems
