@Ghandi has very valid criticismsPete has valid concerns with this kid lol. He’s something else . I still think it’s Miami but I don’t trust him . @ghamdi has some legit critiques.

They don’t currently have a scholarship QBs. They need more than one. Then why are they potentially taking Longstreet?
Don't be so sure, nothing is certain except death. We were fortunate the last two seasons to get our guy and the drama with Cam was down to the wire. Mario needs to reevaluate the speed at which he moves for these portal QBs.
I would rather rock with nickel and or Coleman. If its a bad take ill eat it later.
No problem. Context is important.Ok that is very very different. Pete gets worried as rapidly as he gets exuberant. Means nothing. Thanks for clarifying
They’re trending for the Elon transfer tooThey don’t currently have a scholarship QBs. They need more than one.
Who would we have landed had Mario ‘moved quicker’ as you describeDon't be so sure, nothing is certain except death. We were fortunate the last two seasons to get our guy and the drama with Cam was down to the wire. Mario needs to reevaluate the speed at which he moves for these portal QBs.

Hey dude, I'll post whenever I want, nobody said we won't get our guy, my point was don't be so certain, nothing is guaranteed as you alluded to.We're playing for the natty in a week doing things his way. With all due respect he doesn't need to reevaluate ****. Landing a good QB in the portal is ABSOLUTELY the way to go. You're not even arguing with me at this point, you're arguing with history, statistics, and results. All FOUR teams in the final 4 this year have portal QB's. The last THREE national champions all won their title with a portal QB.
If you can't handle it, stay off the boards for a week or two. I can assure you....we'll make a splash.
I wouldn’t think the kid is transferring from a school because he doesn’t want to be a backup to another school the be their backup. They don’t currently have a scholarship QBs. They need more than one.

I’m hearing good things on Leavitt anything you’re hearing? We have more talent at ol than most esp in the acc .
Wondering if it’s Simpson..This can’t be for Leavit. Has to be something bigger or way way unexpected.
Couldn’t disagree more. Sam is a stud. No one had more of a concern than Beck. We have a shot at the playoff again you pay big.It would be a waste to throw a 4+ million bag at Leavitt just to attempt to squeeze out 10 wins next year (especially with his added injury concerns). Take a chance on the young guys at QB, and make sure to keep Toney locked in for 2026 and 2027. It was worth risking it with Beck this year since we had a roster that could compete, but next year we return almost no production outside of RB/DB/Toney.
Starting Emory next season would be a waste though. You have to start Nickel/Coleman and see what you have there, and that will guide the portal decision for the 2027 season. Going 8-4/9-3 with Emory vs 6-6/7-5 with Nickel for example does nothing for you.
The most disappointing thing so far this portal cycle has been the failure to get Perich and Biles, we really should have went all in on those two (and maybe we did but whiffed, hard to tell). This is lining up very similar to when UM basketball made the Final 4 and then couldn't capitalize.
