I can't imagine we dont match the highest offer.

unless Simpson has given us an idea he's coming back the staff knows it's this or emory next year

gotta feel like last year the staff had a feeling beck was always in the cards or at least a shot at him

I know money talks but man, that demond williams/lsu news breaking when leavitt was on a visit to LSU and sitting next to lane at the basketball game was so embarrassing. the money might make it easier to get over it though.

I dont think our staff is willing to get outbid or make that a problem

we just won 23 million in the playoffs (20 mil in prize money plus 3 million per trip / assuming that was all spent + 3 million trip for this next game without having to travel) we were outspending before we were getting playoff money

not a chance.

He has Lane on his knees at the airport and we have money.
At some point you have to be able to walk away from a deal. He can come back once to renegotiate but he can't keep using LSU and Miami for leverage against each other. He asked for an offer we made it. Then LSU upped their offer. We can match that and he can take it or leave it. But you can't let him keep going back and forth to get better offers.

Like the way it’s trending for Miami.

This is his first time on campus, no?

Would you expect him to accept any offer before talking the visit?
