And the answer is... RANDY SHANNON
For what?
Unless the question is who is the DC at UCF.
I don’t know what else Shannon is the answer too.
And the answer is... RANDY SHANNON
Pastor Rick is all about the forgiveness of sin and second chances - he should give Randy Shannon his blessing and let him be redeemed as a Cane. If you want a DC /LB coach, then Shannon is 100x a better choice than Diaz.
I agree....Amuse me, why is it insane?
Here is the argument for him.
1. He is a former player who won a national title with a 24-1 record as a player.
2. His resume includes DC at two top programs.
3. During Shannon's six years as the Hurricanes defensive coordinator, his defenses consistently finished among the best in the nation:
4. He has head coaching experience.
5. His recruiting is at least on par with Diaz.
6. He would likely take the job as it would be a promotion, plus he is not likely to leave if he comes back.
7. He was a coach or player for our last 4 national titles.
8. Jimmy Johnson thought highly enough of him to make him the LB coach for the Dolphins. This was a time when JJ was established and could probably pick his LB coach amongst several willing candidates.
Yes, there may be some bad blood, but only a fool let's that influence his decisions.
Hit and miss. It’s been a digression every year
PS: that means the coaching suck.
Slow and stiff. One thing that stood out to me while watching the game is that our athletes on D didn’t look any more athletic than their offense. We need more speed at lb and safety in a bad way.
You get that with a guy like Avery huff for sure and Solomon and brooks are overall better athletes than the linebackers we have recruited the last 2 classes.Slow and stiff. Stiffness comes with thinking to much also field presence instincts.
Reading play to reaction confidence weak.
