Hurlie know what he is doing. Definitely a coach I would want to be coached by if I were still playing

I think we have some good position coaches in place right now. the only ones in question is D Cord and DB coach. DL coach is new so i have to give him a pass until i see something. everyone else i would want to coach me. except for Al Golden.

Golden limits their coaching with his systems and schemes.

I agree! Very sloppy. Hurlie maybe a good recruiter, but ex RB coaching LB'er? Having never played the position how can he coach the techniques and clever nuances of the position?

What this and you'll see the technique and coaching intensity difference:

1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tBIiudpyOP0

2. Especially this! This is football: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnEo90zT2Y8

Hurlie was one of the best strong safety's to play at Miami. Not an RB. Happy to help.

So, you're saying... in order to be a good coach, you had to play the position you're coaching?!? Lol, your thought process and videos suck, lol!

Hurlie was a Safety... Starter with NC ring while at the U

Hurlie is one of the best members of the staff. Both as a teacher and recruiter. I hope your son feels the same way. There is no bigger Cane than Coach Brown. Just ask William Floyd. He still has nightmares of ole #8 taking on his lead block back in 1991.

At least get to know the guy a little before you start spewing off your negativity.

Look I don't fight over the internet. I like Hurlie, but those drills are ragedy, lacking intensity and technique. If you can't see the differences in coaching at Championship level teams vs what we see in his videos, then you obviously more fan than understanding of football.

Son, I was on the sidelines of Canes games for much of the mid-late 80's. I personally know, still communicate and hang out with several famous and not so famous Canes. It was not a knock on Hurlie as a former player but a critique of the coaching in that video. If you think it good then don't complain come the season.
