I doubt it.
I'd say $5M max.

Literally the #8 pick in the NFL draft will make less than $6M this year. Sorsby wouldn't be a 1st rounder, which is why he is even returning. Sure being a QB he gets a bump. Don't think that high though.

At $6M you go with other options

Right... You've never been in this position either and have likely never been in a Div1 Locker room before but are very confident in expressing an opinion.

You're telling him to mess with the mojo of the locker room by attacking the portal, and publicly announcing visitors because feelings shouldn't matter in recruiting.

Mario is trying to thread the needle and keep his team focused and engaged while having an eye on the future of the program and filling potential needs.

It took 20+ years for us to be this close to a title. Some teams will never get this close. I'd rather not mess with that. But you're entitled to your opinion.

exactly. its my opinion. I see how Indiana is moving, in same situation as us, and I prefer aggressive approach to talent acquisition ALWAYS. Any hurt feelings? afraid to compete? maybe FIU is a better fit. and, ahem 🙄 played college in Div.1 …not power 4…they were listed as 1 AA in early 2000s. Dad coached in big east and big ten schools.

guess what.....nobody has. This is the first time the portal opened this late. people acting like he took a ******* vacation to the bahamas or something. Cristobal lives for this ****. Takes some midol/eat some ice cream or whatever helps for this time of the month
 
Zero distractions.

We will likely hear nothing about recruiting, visits, portal or anything else until the end of the season. Let’s hope that Thursday morning people in here are still stressing over who we are getting and losing their minds at players signing with other programs.

I have no issues with how Mario has been managing the Portal. He wants the team focused on the task at hand. Beat Ole Miss and move on to the NC. At home in Miami.

We know **** well he doesn't care about feelings as far as competition.

I will not be surprised when there are a number of portal commits. Many top players except QB are waiting to see the depth in their position rooms at Miami, Indiana, Oregon, Ole Miss and at other Top 10 teams before they make a decision.

I am confident Miami has been in contact players they like, even requesting the players not post pending visits.

Or he has the deal he wants in place but that team wants to wait on the announcement. He’s in the portal and he’s a good player there’s no way he isn’t receiving offers from someone.
