I agree with this. Personally, I like Williams and hope to see him in this class. Not sure if the rumors are true or not.

But not everyone can be Richards and have a NSD moment. It would be ridiculous if everyone was doing it. Having fun with the process can be dicey if you're not a highly sought after recruit. If you're the number 1 player in the nation, you can pull that card. But if you were an unknown player up until a week ago, then it's probably not a good idea to start playing games short of two weeks from NSD.

The common theme that seems to get missed is that, yeah, have your fun during the recruiting process. But the college you pick has a pretty big impact on your life. With an important decision like that it's really not a good idea to be playing games. Just my .02.

Agreed. Dugans probably went to bat for him to get the UM offer, only to be lukewarm after committing. I'm sure that didn't sit well with some.

Richt is a seasoned SEC vet - I hate the SEC as much as the next guy, but their recruiting is absolutely cutthroat. If it's played out as the rumours suggest and they've pulled his scholarship it's because they have someone better lined up and Williams ignored their requests to not go on the Tennessee visit. He's not playing the hat game with a 2 star player they dragged up from obscurity a fortnight ago.

So far I've been incredibly impressed with how Richt has salvaged this recruiting class in such a short time. I'm not going to criticise him until the evidence suggests otherwise.

I read an article from one of the TOS sites where it claimed his HC, Brian Allen, and someone else encouraged him to take that trip to Tennessee and
that UM was not pleased.
I'm wondering if Allen is trying to get Williams to FSU.
