Latrell Williams Article (After Tenn Visit)

Not many schools can compete with the facilities at Tennessee....no expense was spared. It's a college town built around that program.

"Return on investment" mustn't be a concept they can wrap their collective heads around then.

Wondering if Williams has his offer in limbo if he went on Tennessee visit u never know what the other side is doing because coaches can not communicate to media but connect the dots

Mullins locked
Richards wait on him seems to be ours
Davis about to commit
Bruce back in fold today
Wims Miami is back in Jackson today

That gives us 5 and IMO it comes down to Bruce or Williams.

Maybe Miami got Bruce and Williams is no longer part of your plans

We are not taking 6

I brought this up before and will try again that Williams is a take as a playmaker not really a wr. Yes, he'sa wr by position but he won't be used full time there but more as a gadget/return man like McKenzie so I see him as a take regardless if he sticks

"Commited" to Miami but has it narrowed down to Miami or Tenn.I can't wait until we get rolling and don't have to put up with this chit any longer.

unfortunately that has always existed and always will

even alabama recruits do it, same with ohio state, usc, etc. Recruits are all about who likes me right now so coaches can't lay off and a new school coming in last minute will always be a threat

I agree but not to the extent that we have to deal with it.Those schools seem to be able to lock their top players down.We could lose Byrd this weekend and he has been commited for awhile.Maybe 2017 will be different.I don't like kids being "commited" to a school but having a top 3 or still narrowing it down.I believe that kids should 1. decide which schools that they want to visit 2.Take those visits and 3.Make a decision and commit to their school of choice. In my opinion you shouldn't be able to commit until you are done with all the visits you want to take.that would eliminate a lot of drama.

Naive if you think it will be any different if Miami gets rolling.

We can't sign every WR we are after. There is a lot of fluidity at that position right now. It will be interesting to see who we end up with on NSD.

Not worried about this guy. He and Dugans have a great rship it seems. Dont blame the kid for wanting to check out Rocky Top. We know how they get down around those parts. Remember ole Bryce Brown. Lol.

That said, I definitely believe this is a kid that Scott recognized as a talent and that dummy known as Al Golden probably didnt sign off on him. Didnt meet his criteria for what a WR should look like (6'2+, 190lb+, 4.5-).. and in his mind he already had his slot guy in the bag. (SBruce) So no room for this kid even with his great SR stats and elite speed. Smh.

Concerning he took his entire family and that his coach pushed him to make the trip but logically, you'd think he sticks with his commitment. Their top receiver had 400 yards last year. They're all about the ground game.

Didn't someone mention he has been with the same girl forever and that he and his family are super close? No way he leaves if that's the case...

Amazing how these kids don't realize Butch is another Al Golden

I've called him a rich man's golden many times. He's married to a scheme (on Offense), keeps poorly performing coaches around, literally stole one of Golden's recruiting catchphrases (which I'm sure was stolen from someone else), and is routinely outcoached by teams of equal talent.

It's not a college town. Knoxville has 850,000 in the metro area. Far from a college town. It's like 7X the size of Gainesville.

We holding the bag on NSD on DTs and WRs?

What was the whole "snake in the grass" comment about in regards to Scott. Is this part of it?

I think it will be. At the very least we wont be dealing with this from kids who were set to go to USF just a couple weeks ago.
