Not elite,.. But the talent we have, is very good!! The mindset,.. Not so much right now! You can change a mindset, much easier than you can raw talent. These kids Will do just fine fir the time being, with the right coaching!

Let's not forget UNC and GT have new coaches next year with new systems. A third team on our ACC schedule (Louisville) also has a new coach. In theory, we should win the division next year. But then again we should have this year.
 
We held coaching accountable for the shyteshow that was 2018. We blamed coaching for the regression we saw with the QBs. We blamed coaching for the ST loading the diapers every game. We even blamed the OL coach for the subpar oline talent, saying a better coach would have milked this situation for a better performance than what actually manifested on game days.

So the question is, do we have better coaching today and this offseason to offset those deficiencies, is this new staff good enough to tilt the win-loss record next year the other way? Is sudden death recruiting today more important than a marathon recruiting next year and years after? Is Manny DOA because this recruiting class looks like we went shopping at Goodwill? Is it his fault? After four Ebola hires do we not wait and see what we’ve got here, which is still unfolding? Just questions, so many questions, that only time can answer. I’m going to chill and enjoy the show after a year that totally drained me from the frustration.

Agree that he has the fire but he can't do it all on his own. I'm very curious to see how the recruiting side of the equation shakes out over the next week and months because if we don't have guys that can recruit or at least keep some of the top talent home, not much else will matter.
 
Talent isn't just skill positions (not even going to mention QB). We do not have talent at the OL to compete with SEC type defenses, or even BIG 10 yet.
 
@caneaddict came in here pumped up today and that's good stuff right there. I'm pumped for the future of Canes football also. All of us should give all we got to make sure we support the new head coach.
 
Ucf just made a ny6 game. Our guys where rated higher coming out of HS. It’s up to the coaches. Go get em manny!
 
It’s not that good. Manny and Richt said this would be the class to put us over the top. This class **** the bed so we will be hearing the same BS during the spring we’ve heard the past 15 years.

I agree about the Coastal, I take issue with the ACC as a whole. Clemson for sure, FSU (although Willie's coaching levels the field), NC State, etc. are equal or (in Clemson's case) surely far superior

I just watched a Wisconsin commit QB today light up the Army AA game. They are just better than us.

Because were talking about talent. If our players are out performing and out numbering our opponents in the NFL, thats a telling sign. We havent won here because weve been serverly outcoached. Not because of talent. We get a legit OC and were in business

I wholeheartedly agree with the OP. This is not a rebuild. Even with $EC bags to compete against we have significant talent on our roster.

The two main areas that need to be addressed are QB play and OL play.

It’s pretty down lately especially this year. Good coaches though.

We have enough talent on paper though was my only point.
