Last Night's Solid Win...But We Need To Talk...

People argue about slinging it vs running -- when either needs to be productive. Can't disappear for 2 quarters. Feel for the game. -2 yard pass, 3 yard pass, 3rd and long incompletion and punt... appears to be passing to pass ... but not down field... went back to the run game, dominated them, ran the clock out -- exactly like we should have.

Do you realize that your initial complaint was that we tried to limit possessions and run the clock out, and now you're saying that we should have stuck with running the ball to limit possessions and run the clock out?

You went with the party line of "we get too conservative" but now you admit that we weren't conservative enough.

You can say that about literally any mindset or gameplan. What’s your point?
This specific mindset was discussed during and after the ND game, again now, previous seasons -- the mindset leaves for a smaller margin of error and has cost both Miami and Mario games in the past. The finger has then been pointed to Dawson to be more creative or call better plays within that mindset.

Can we limit the arguing and attacks to just me?

So much more fun that way and keeps the koo koo more focused.

🤣

You’re thinking of two different plays, beck was targeting cj in the cormani pick. CJ was wide open on the play where he held the ball too long for a sack i think
I know I'm talking about 2 different plays, that's what I said

I like that we have been able to move the ball on a couple of decent defenses and with the softer part of the schedule coming after FSU that bodes well for us.

My one concern is lack of explosive plays. We have 2 plays over 40 yards through 4 games.

Your thoughts on Louie Louie??

I wpuld argue Miami's Offense isn't built for a ton of explosive plays, unless they come from a broken tackle or WR just outruns coverage.

The O is really consistently 3-5yds and a cloud of dust..either on the ground or passing. A good thing to me.

Hard to judge the UL defense, as they have 51 transfers as a team so I can't compare to last year's team. Perhaps they have made significant improvements; their stats are impressive despite the weak schedule. Pitt and UV games should shed more light here.

No denying that the power run game gives us a huge advantage but explosive plays...the best teams all have playmakers.

When walking in Death Valley, not a cloud in the sky, and The Empirical One says, "looks like rain", probably best you grab your rubby ducky and booties.

That is all.

Remarkable how many muppets have come around.

Amazing.
