Last DT update

I take no news as good news given the latest info said they were both declaring. Probably just wishful thinking, though.

I’m not getting my hopes up, but it is interesting that it’s taking them so long to announce their decision. Either they are changing heir minds, still unsure or waiting to see what Clemson/Alabama lineman are also coming out.

Eh fack it. I’m going all in sunshine pumping till negative news hits. That’s easier than worrying about everything.

1. RJ and Norton are returning
2. Dugans will tell Simple Willie no thanks
3. We will close with the following recruits and some I’ve missed:
Nesta
Campbell
Chatfield
Bethel
Briggs
Barnes
Goss
X Peters

4. Tenth Coach is Art Briles

It's a bold strategy, Cotton. Let's see if it pays off...

RJ’s dad said he is 60/40 on returning to school and decision can be announced any minute. Norton will make the same decision as RJ either way, according to Ferman.

Brock is so weird

Might just be sour on how Norton played in 2017 for the most part idk. Thought he would have done more but it’s cool. Just an opinion at the end of the day
You should post less. Do Willis and Norton play the same position? NO THEY DON'T!

Moten was Norton's backup; Willis backed up McIntosh. Willis won't be the 1 tech next year.

Thanks for pointing that out to Brock. He should know that.

You should also ask him which DT draws more double teams......Norton or McIntosh? Which DT prevents the Center from having a free release to our MLB as well?

The good news comin’ fellas. That’s all I gots to say.

Damnit, man!

If we can convince Norton and McIntosh to come back, our D goes from Good to Elite. Herbstreit said it best: We need depth in order to take the next step. We grinded out Norton and McIntosh this year due to lack of rotational depth. Too high of a snap count that took it's toll down the back stretch of the season when you need the depth the most.

We need a true DT rotation of the following:
1) Norton & McIntosh
2) Ford & Willis
3) Nesta & Bethel

We close with two more, then we have injury protection. That would leave us with 9 DTs including Martin who needs to show us something this year.

Please let this happen.

BTW -- I see what you did there, Papa Shaq. Thank you, sir.

I expect Silvera to at least be in the two deep by mid-season. That's how good he is.

He may be good but I doubt he takes Willis or Fords spot. He might even look around some more if both come back. It’s been stated he doesn’t want to sit the bench his first year. I just don’t know if he is the 5th DT, how much burn he would get. For the program, being able to redshirt him would be fantastic. He would start as a RS Fresh and have gotten stronger and polished his skills. That’s how championship teams are really built.

2 in the hand, one in the bush. 3 for the playoff push.
Dugans, RJ, Norton all return.

Nests will not redshirt he will get a lot of burn if not start

Who would he play over? Legit asking cause he isn’t taking Willis off the field. Ford would be Norton’s backup if Norton returns. That puts him 5th in the depth chart.

Injuries always play a role... Nesta is going to play.

Combine this with the fact that Kul and Diaz like to substitute, Nesta would definitely have the opportunity to play no matter what.

No chance he shirts. I wouldn't be shocked if he jumped Bethel at some point. We rotate a lot of de, and him playing dt allows Willis to slide outside at times. We lost three de.
