If you could pick 2 players, one offensive and one defensive from the last 5 years to have back on the team for just the 2014 season who do you pick?

Offense: Lamar Miller (Shame he left early and we never got to see him play with Duke, would've been disgusting)
Defense: Sean Spence (I think we are truly one more good LB or DT from being dominant on D)

but actual players, offense would be lamar miller or hankerson. I would Jimmy Graham, but despite our current staff's insistence on getting the tight ends involved, they have not done a whole lot of that.

Defense is either brandon harris, spence, or vernon.

I loved mccarthy when he was here and would have put him on our list, but it's obvious with this coaching staff that we need a LB who is fast and can play the pass and spence was better at that. Mccarthy was more of a run stopper and Denzel does that already.
 
This is a really hard question to answer. I hope thinking about this puts our thoughts on talent level into perspective.

Actually going back 5 years considering college production only (not pro) I'd probably say Duke and Perryman. It's a shame we had so little talent since 09. Yes Lamar Miller, Hankerson, Benjiman on offense and Vernon, Spence, Bailey and McCarthy were good solid players but I don't think I would trade Duke and Denzel for any of those guys.
